Tide Original - just the powder?

I've seen here and there that Tide Original is CD safe - but everything I see refers to the powder.

Is the Tide Original Liquid safe too, or no?  I would prefer to use a liquid over a powder because of our septic, but I'm not sure what liquid brands are safe because all I can find is for powders...

  • We use powder as it was recommended over the liquid. You don't use much, I don't see it being a problem on your septic system.

  • from what I was told when I asked this same question, the Tide liquid is not safe bc of the ingredient that enables the liquid to stay a liquid (or something like that) is the part thats not safe for cloth...there are a few liquids that can be used however. Have you checked out Ecos at all? I don't use it myself (I am lucky enough to have access to a military base so I use the All F&C Military) however I believes the Ecos F&C thats sold at Walmart is a liquid and its safe...

Just and FYI, Ecos scented liquid detergent is not safe for cloth dipes because it has coconut oil in it.  It is what we use for our clothes, but I also just read it somewhere as well.
