I get super nervous about the u/s gender prediction being wrong!
I would feel so bad calling my baby "baby girl" and then it come out with a ween!!
I have another u/s in a week so maybe they will confirm girl. but its still making me insanely nervous lol
btw i had my anatomy scan at 19 weeks. the tech said girl. i even posted a pic on here after and asked girls if they thought it was for sure a girl and they said yes.
Re: anyone else still get super nervous about the u/s gender being wrong?
Eh, it would be a surprise but the worst thing that could happen is that my boy would have a ton of cute pink outfits. Oh well.
It would make a great story for the LO later in life and as long as he/she is happy and healthy, then there is nothing to get nervous about.
yes you are right. if the worst that happens is the baby is actually a boy then i think its a pretty good thing.
i just have all this damn pink stuff now and it keeps piling up!!
This was the main reason we chose to get a 3D u/s with DS
During the 3D we definitely confirmed he was all boy!
The US tech was pretty confident it's a girl this time - we clearly saw the "train tracks", but I am still contemplating getting a 3D one again.
I do, especially this time around cause we did a gender reveal party. So the tech did'nt give us a "money shot"....plus she did it so quickly (viewing the sex of the baby)....makes me wonder.
I've heard that tech's mis-confirm girls more than boys....which is another reason I worry.
Plus my friend was told all along that she was expecting a girl and she delivered a boy.
I guess I'll just keep my fingures crossed!

Baby Evangeline is here!
Oh no this is just fueling my fears! I'm also afraid that I'll find out my baby girl is a baby boy next week at my 2nd A/S. I feel like I've really connected with the baby now that she is my daughter, and I'll be really thrown off if they tell me it's a boy! I'd be happy with a healthy baby of any sex though.
seems like its a common thing to get nervous about haha. its jsut hard like some said getting connected to your "daughter" and then it being a boy! I would be like oh crap and feel bad haha
i dunno why but i thought it was a boy until they said girl. I think i half thought that though because i want a girl so badly and i didn't want to be disappointed if they said boy...
i want a girl so it just seems too good to be true lol

VENT...it's whiny, feel free to ignore. I'd ignore if I were you but I'm hot and bothered.
My Dr. as usual managed to get horrible shots. She's terrible with the u/s wand, barely prints out any pictures (I got 3 of almost the same pose). She goes way too fast, gets bad 2D shots, and couldn't manage to get a side profile. I understand it's a medical facility and we're there at the 'anatomy' scan to get measurements etc. and check the health of the baby...I get that, but would it kill her to take an extra minute at the end of the appointment to try to get a good picture or two? I left the appointment thinking...maybe boy?
I'm going in on Sat. for an elective 3D/4D scan just to be sure because at this time I'm not 100% set on what I saw as being boy parts 7 weeks ago. I've been around the block with seeing gender shots, what I saw on my scan had three lines, yet she said she was beyond certain it was a boy. Oh well.
Eek! Maybe I should have stayed team green!
If I remember correctly you found out pretty early that it's a girl, right? Help me be less paranoid about my 17w gender determination
.
If I went into my anatomy scan wanting to know gender and he hadn't given me one i would have been pretttttty mad even though i know it depends on the baby position and such. Good luck!! I really hope you get what you want!
this is sorta what im hoping doesn't happen lol. I know i have at least two more u/s's before she is born so if she is really a he i think i might see by then!

No, it was very clear, and the perinatologist was clear it was one sex, a seperate tech got an even clearer shot and said the same, and it agreed with the blood work we'd had done earlier.
Not concerned at all. If it did turn out to be the opposite sex, well, that's cool. I like both names. We've purchased a lot of gender neutral clothes, and may just have to pick up a few more things. No biggie.
But that is a girl, most definitely.

With the kind of life I have had NOTHING would surprise me
... if they suddenly said ooops sorry it's a girl..or OMG there are two in there... I think I'd probably fall off the table laughing... now hubby on the otherhand... would probably have a heart attack and gawd knows Grandma would be thrilled... but speechless lol.
We have our next scan at the hospital on the 19th at 28 weeks and 1 day and then we have an elective 3D/4D booked for Xmas eve ...28 w 6 days and that will be a family affair... so we have at least one more scan just with hubby and I to save giving anyone a heart attack at the 4D lol
Now if we really go all out and they tell me I have 3 +++ in there... then I might be surprised ROFL ...once i pick my ass up off the floor we'll be fine. That would truly be a Blackadder moment.... this has always been an all time fave episode of mine

hahahah. totals.
When he first pointed to the gender i said umm what am i looking at??? lol
haha goodness you seem to be pretty open to surprise.
I have an elective u/s on the 14th and an u/s at the hospital on the 19th because I sadly have to be monitored because i have a "persistent placenta lake" which they monitor to make sure the baby is growing well. More chances to see her though.
Im hoping after 2 more u/s's ill have a pretty solid idea of what im having. I'll be 23 weeks at the 14th one and almost 24 at the 19th one so i would hope a weener would be prominent lol
I guess im used to seeing those three line from farther back images on here.. like everyones gender shots it seems to be 3 lines not like crammed up close like my gender shot is haha
That was our A/S at 19 .5wks .. so here's hoping it's really a boy or someone is in trouble lol
