BRU return policy w/o receipt? It's been a while...

I know it's gotten worse over the years, but I'm hoping someone has tried this recently and can save us some work.

I've got 2 things to return that DO have gift receipts and they WERE on the registry - easy peasy, I'm assuming that I'll get a BRU gift card or store credit for those.

 I've got a handfull of things that were NOT on the registry, no receipt for them, but they are traditional J&J soaps, sets, etc that just about every store has.  Should I try my luck at BRU - w/ NO receipt and them NOT being on my registry - would I get a store credit assuming they even carry these items, or would they just turn up their nose at me and send me packing?

I've tried calling them but a girl can only be put on hold for so long.... :(

    Add those things to your registry before you go in. Then you can exchange them for other items.

    If you give them the phone number of the person who bought the item, they don't need a receipt to return things.

    joyco - that is a good tip - thanks!

    I just added the items to the registry - can't believe I did not think of that.  I prefer to return them to BRU b/c they are probably the most expensive there, so I'll get more credit.

    i returned a couple items at BRU that weren't on the registry, and they gave me store credit - no problem. they treated those items as if i had them on the registry.
