I did a giveaway with them and received a diaper free of charge that I fell in LOVE with, and now I want another ![]()
Can someone explain the groups thing? and they only stock twice a month for like 5 minutes? I'm so lost.

Re: How do you purchase a Twinkie Tush CD?
You stalk. You make sure you are signed in and hit f5 like a crazy woman until it pops up, hit add to cart, and hope it actually landed in yours.
EDIT: Whoops. Not for groups. For group customs you mean? That I am fuzzy on. Sorry

There is a FB fan page that a lot of bst goes on in too.

Not really for groups. If I just want to buy a custom diaper? Will all those prints on the HC refresh as stocked or something on the stocking day and I add to cart there? Thanks for your help!
This is the TT we have:
You did a giveaway, and you don't understand how stocking works? ::mind boggles::
She stocks every week, and is sold out in 0.5 seconds. You have to either be quick on the draw, or have other people helping you snag the print you want. Some people go months without scoring their first TT.
The other thing she does is groups, which you saw on her FB page. She'll randomly draw custom groups, and that group will have the opportunity to purchase that diaper. To join a group, ask to join the TT discussion group.
She'll also do drawings every stocking, on hyena cart.
ETA: Her prints change every week, and go up on Tuesday. Custom slots are virtually impossible to snag.
ETA2: I'm actually kind of pissed about this. You obviously know nothing about the community, nothing about the brand, and really nothing about the world of WAHM diapers. Yet you did a diaper review, which did not cover anything really other than they have cute prints.
there are some of us devoted followers that haven't scored in months (though I don't try every week, and I haven't tried to do groups)...it takes a lot of effort, so count your blessings you even have 1

Thanks, I definitely wasn't being disrespectful of the brand-- love their diapers-- totally confused about the process. I'll change the title since it comes off that way- not my intention at all. Intention was to show my obv newbness.
Pixy, Mike asked that I review the diaper. We did not discuss me reviewing the purchasing process. I didn't realize how intricate it was.
Grrrr. I just typed up a long response with tons of stocking/stalking info and the bump ate it. :
The basics: read through the TT store page (www.hyenacart.com/twinkietush) and their FB page. There is quite a bit of into there on stocking. If you read through the FB page in particular, you will see that this is a common question that G fields pretty frequently. They also have a blog with a ton of info, including VERY specific information about how stockings and group customs work: www.twinkietush.blogspot.com.
Also join the TT fan page. This is where you can learn more about group customs and how to get hooked up with a group. This is also the place where mamas B/S/T TTs they're no longer using.
In addition to weekly stockings, there are also a number of contests, raffles, etc. for the chance to win custom spots. Check out the blog + FB page for more info.
But overall, I really agree with PPs. As someone who hosted a giveaway and has written a review, you should have done more research. You're really the one who should be in the position to share some of this info with potential new fans, not posting something titled "How the hell do you score a TT?" There is ample info available online if you take the time to read through it and lurk a bit.
Finally, I read your review and wasn't clear if you knew these are not intended to be waterproof. You referenced the diaper getting damp on the outside vs. your PUL diapers. If you want them to work like a pocket or AIO, you might want to try wool over them or look into a PUL cover.
GL. And welcome to the TT love--it's an awesome diaper made by an amazing mama.
Thanks for your response. I am very new to fitteds. This was our first fitted diaper. You are right. I should have known more about how the slots etc work seeing as a I did a review-- that's why I am here asking though bc I know y'all are knowledgeable about the subject. Writing about slots, raffles etc was not discussed so that's why it was not part of the review. I was pleasantly surprised that the diaper increases absorbency with the first few washes!
I am! They really are amazing diapers.
Check out this Bumpie Business List .
I do not know them personally. They generously offered a review/giveaway combo to me via email. I tweet with the hashtag #clothdiapers alot-- Mike said he found me through twitter
I think alot of CD companies prefer new CD moms to do reviews because the review is not as ...overwhelming... to a reader who might be new to cloth diapers or considering cloth diapering.
Gretchen posts instructions for the group custom process every month here as well as on the Facebook page. For regular in-stock diapers and single custom diaper slots, they go on sale every Wednesday. You'll need a fast internet connection and even faster fingers to score a new diaper. You can also check Spot's Corner for used diapers, although those go quickly, as well. Good luck!
Personally, I would prefer to read a review by an experienced CD mama who knows quality when she sees it (which TT is!)
Fitteds really are a whole other beast from pockets or AIOs. They are generally far more absorbent, but you do need that extra layer (wool, fleece or PUL) if you want it waterproof. And, they do tend to be a bit bulkier (thanks to the great absorbency).
I do tend to let DD run around coverless in fitteds because they are breathable and I like her skin to spend some time without PUL. And it's hard to beat yummy velour inners. :-)
If you're interested in getting a few more more fitteds while you try for a TT, you might consider Goodmama: www.thegoodmama.com. She (Suzanne Atwood, the owner) has some cute stuff in stock now for about the same price as a TT. They are my second favorite fitted--not quite as absorbent as a TT, but I actually really love the fit. This is a cute boyish one she has in stock: https://shop.thegoodmama.com/Goodmama_One_Size_Fitted_Cloth_Diaper_p/4121-309-6419941.htm
(note that most goodmamas are fitteds but the ones called "The ___________ One" are AI2s and have PUL to make them waterproof. :-)
I'm sorry, who are you? I don't recognize your siggy picture...
;-)
I am a total lurker since I am still TTC, but even I know how TT stocking/stalking works! And I was so shocked when I saw the giveaway and assumed it was a friend of the TT family. Really surprising to find out it wasn't and that the blogger doesn't even seem to know much about the brand and the purchase process.
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!
That doesn't make sense to me. Your review was basically explaining the same thing that is on the HyenaCart listing description. You said in your review that it is a daytime diaper - when most of us buy them for specific use of NIGHT TIME because of their absorbency. I use them DeNIPed overnight.
Ummm seriously?
It's a diaper. Get a life.
Yeah kidscakechaos! We have no need for your opinions here! Why don't you go bake a cupcake or something!
Cupcake.
You don't know her lyfe!
Baked goods for everyone!
OP, I hope you received the information you were seeking on TT stockings, and that you continue to enjoy the amazing diaper you have!
Did someone say cupcake? Let me write a review about a cupcake I ate today.
Today I got a chocolate cupcake from a local bakery. It tasted good. I don't think the chocolate cupcake would work in place of a lemon cupcake. I could taste the chocolate as soon as I bit into it, but it was good all the same. You should buy a cupcake from the bakery.
How in the HELL do I buy a cupcake?
FTMFW!!!
How educated did that sound?
Here's the thing about my "life" I like to not come of as a complete nimwhit. Thus, whenever I put information out into the e-universe I like to make sure I know what I'm talking about. When somebody offers you a product to do a review there are a couple steps you should take.
1. Pull your head out of your ass and make friends with google.
2. Find out about the brand and the product. What do people think? What service is the product supposed to provide? What do others think of said product? Where can people find the product?
3. Test the product. Does it do what it's intended to do? Do you like it? Will it work for others?
4. Don't immediately turn around make the brand look bad by acting like a twit.
These four easy steps brought to you by the letter C for Cupcake.
God, I PPH you ladies!
You know you missed us!
Er. Um. I mean. Us here. You know. lmao
The best part of this post:
All these people I thought had vanished from the face of the earth suddenly reappeared! (And yes, the bump = my whole world... at least at work.)
@Yoda- Happy Birthday to your little guy! Maybe kidscakechaos can get him a cupcake when she figures out how to buy one.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!
OMG Are we all coming back to TB now?! I dunno if I can do it.
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
We're around-ish. We really should repopulate!
Not sure if I can handle it either, mama!
Yes! I can only answer so many Tide posts before my head explodes, and I don't even use Tide....
Why in the hell did TB just post from my other account???
Scurries back to FB.
