Sorry I didn't see your post about bacon bread until now.
Basically use your favorite white bread recipe and follow that. (The bread recipe I use makes 4 loaves and uses a 5 lb bag of flour.)
While dough is rising chop 2 lbs bacon and 2 medium yellow onions cook until bacon is done but not crispy. (again this is for 4 loaves, so you can adjust the amount)
When dough is ready to go into loaf pans separate dough into equal portions.
Flatten dough and spread 1/4 of bacon and onion mixture on top and roll folding in the sides as you go.
Place in bread pans and let rise. Bake according to bread recipe.
When bread comes out of the oven cool on racks and top with butter.
I like it at room temp with butter or toasted with butter.
Oh and how did you like BD?
Re: Pmarie
That sounds delicious.
I liked it, but I wanted more. I don't want to wait another year to see more.

Lurking..
I do this same thing with frozen bread balls.. let 'em thaw and rise then flatten them out and fill with the tasty goodness of bacon and onions and then seal 'em up and bake.. I have dubbed them bacon bites and will be making a huge batch for a Christmas party on Wednesday..
