Target diaper fail

I was really surprised at how thin the Target diapers were, but just told DH yesterday that I had been impressed with them.  She didn't turn red (like she did with the Pampers), and considering she was sometimes going up to 10 hours at night without a diaper change, she hadn't leaked or anything.  And then she has the biggest blowout yet.  Way worse than when she was having blowouts in Huggies.  Sigh.  I just want to find a diaper that works consistently.  Oh well...I have about 75 more Target diapers to use up before I worry about what to try next.

  • Have you tried luvs?

  • I had good luck with Luvs and BJ's brand diapers (not sure if there is a BJ's in Arkansas, but they were good if you do have one)
  • I recommended LUV's too. Buy them from BJ's and they always have coupons for them.

  • I really think blowouts are unavoidable.Natalie was having a ton in pampers, so I switched to huggies, but then they just went out the front instead of the back as much.. went up a size.. which helped a little, but now she's back to having several a day. I think I may switch back to pampers.. I like them better.. I have thought of trying the target ones but I am afraid i'll hate them on a little baby. its different, IMO when they're bigger. I don't know if she needs to go to size 3s.. Eve didn't wear size 3s til she was a year old and wore them til she was 18 months... but Natalie is shaped way differently.

  • I agree with Melissa that blowouts are pretty unavoidable.  I felt like there were quite a few in those early months and I've been told that it's worse with BF babies, which would collaborate the amount that J had.  We usually use Luvs, but have tried practically everything else.

  • The blowout time was what spurred us to switch to cloth, which I am pretty happy with but I realize they are not for everyone.
