Oh pets, I love you but...

We have hardwood floors throughout our house. When the dogs walk on it, it is SO SO loud because of their nails! DS already sucks at taking naps, but both of his naps were cut short today because the d@mn dogs!! Super Angry

I love our pets and I always said I wouldn't be one of those people that b!tches about their pets once they have a baby, but I find myself getting so irritated with them all the time now! 

DS loves the animals too, and they are great with him...they are just loud. 

Just had to vent.

    I'll join in on that vent!  We have hardwood as well and our cats love to start being rambunctious shortly after Ty goes down for the night.  Of course one of our cats is our special Kitty and does it right outside of his room.  I feel horrible but we're always taking their toys away from them now.

    I know exactly what u mean.  It seems as though our dog loves to shake, scratch, chew his bone etc. right outside LO's room.  Makes me so angry!!!!!

    A couple of days ago, I spent ALL afternoon trying to get Tyler to nap. 5 min later, DH gets home and the dogs bark at the garage opening (which they hardly ever do). I was SO mad! They were quiet all afternoon while I could hear other dogs in other yards barking and they choose to bark at the garage opening right after he finally takes a nap???

    Oh yeah, I understand your pain!  I feel like just as soon as I get DD down for a nap, the dog has to bark about something.  She doesn't bark a lot, it's just at inconvenient times.

    Totally know what you mean. We had to take both the dogs' collars off because they would ALWAYS decide it was a good time to shake the second Ev would fall asleep, and the stupid jingling of their collars/tags would wake him up!

    Pets are annoying after you've had a baby, especially one that's finally fallen asleep!  Try a sound machine, I <3 ours now and couldn't live without it.

    Oh no- we move on Wed to a place with hardwood floors- and my dogs hate getting their nails clipped- and Maya already doesn't nap good!

    I am so glad you posted.  I was feeling really guilty about my feeling towards the dogs.  We have three dogs.  I have no patience for them any more.  They drive me INSANE!!  I am so tired of dog hair!!  BTW I have carpet and they still find a way to make noise.  Calgon take me away!!

    At least once a week our cats will get in a cat fight 15 minutes after LO goes to sleep and half of the fight is right next to where she's sleeping.  It's not even the same location, they just seem to find her.  Sigh.
