We are in the process of looking for in home day cares for our LO and are meeting with a group called Monday Morning Moms next week. They have a number of in home day cares that they work with and monitor and match you with one in the area, making sure they have all the requirements and are reputable. Has anyone met with/used Monday Morning Moms?
Thanks!
Re: Monday Morning Moms?
We went with Monday Morning Moms . They had an opening in a daycare close to home, and provided references. I like that they do all the vetting, offer extra training, have backup care available. Ch ch chia highly recommended it and I've been happy with our decision. And LO loves our DCP!
ETA - LO didn't start daycare until he was 8 months old, and I had been back at work for a few months (he was home with DH from 4-8 months), so the thought of doing a daycare search on our own was overwhelming. We are paying a premium for the convenience, but we feel like it's worth it. And while it's more than regular in-homes, it is in line with centers, so it didn't really affect our budget as we'd planned for that approximate amount.
Our DCP is very kind and loving, and because there is so much support for her and the business end is taken care of, means that she can focus on caring for the LOs in the daycare, which she does well.
We've been with our MMM provider for 2.5 years, and have had a very good experience. It's more expensive than a regular in-home, but has saved us a LOT of headaches... so, it's been totally worth it. I like that they provide some support to the providers, and handle all of the "business" stuff with the provider, so we can focus our interactions more on the day-to-day.
The availability of providers varies, depending on where you're located. For us, they had a few providers that that took us to. We were batting zero when it came to finding a place on our own... they made the process very smooth, and put me at ease. I was really scared, since my DD went to daycare at 8 weeks old. DD has thrived in the in-home environment, so I'm happy with our choice.
Let me know if you have any questions about our experience!
Our family has also been with MMM since April of this year, and couldn't be more pleased with their services. I especially like that MMM has a lower provider to child ratio (5:1) than the State (8:1, I believe), and that MMM does more frequent inspections/drop-ins to ensure all protocol is consistently met. Additionally, they provide a list of backup care providers, in case your primary provider is sick or has an emergency where they cannot be open. That is really a time saver!
Thanks Ladies! Glad to know people have had good experiences. Has anyone had to use the back up day care option? Does MMM make the arrangements or do you have to make the calls yourself?
