Both of the girls have/had one and we love them. We use Inspired By Finn. A few years ago several EFFers bought other brands ... somewhere (Etsy? HC? I don't remember) and they ended up not being real amber. So, yeah, we stick with IBF.
If you have a local jewelry / bead store you can call and ask if they have baltic amber beads. Mine only had a few and wouldn't order enough in the near future, so I then bought from an etsy seller. I'm considering getting another from IbF because the "butter" kind of amber is supposed to be stronger.
I put it on Oliver when he was 3 months old and he's worn it since then. Some people take them off at night because they are more comfortable with that, but I feel comfortable with our choice.
Oh, and he has 7 teeth now and has only had major discomfort with 2 of the teeth [front bottoms] so we gave homeopathic teething drops for that.

ETA: Dobie - Why remove it in the bath? Am I supposed to be doing that? lol
Is there a difference in the types of stones used for the necklaces? She seems to be having the most problems with teething at night - like multiple wake ups - will it still help her if I take it off her while she sleeps?

Supposedly the lighter, but more opaque, stones have the highest concentration of succinic acid. We have four necklaces (all from IBF) - one cognac, one butter, two multi - and I haven't noticed a difference in how they help from one to the other.
I would leave it on her while she sleeps. But if you're uncomfortable with it around her neck you could wrap it around her ankle while she sleeps.
The stone colors, you mean? It's all amber. So, it's not a stone at all, actually. Amber is much more fragile than a stone. Think of them as glass beads. The colors do vary somewhat, but like I mentioned in the previous post - the butter colored ones are supposed to have the most succinic acid in them.
I know a lot of people swear by these for teething. Do you feel like it really helps? Do your babies ever wake up due to teething anymore?
We had a HORRRRIBLE time with my 2yo and her molars right when we came home with DD2. I'd love to not go through that all again with DD2 and her teeth.

Yes, sorry! That is what I meant. The colors of the amber. That makes sense then. Thanks!

I do feel like they help. I could tell a huge difference with my oldest when we started using the amber. We still have rough nights, it's not a cure all, but it helps immensely. My youngest just cut two teeth in the last week and I had NO clue.

Same here! haha When O's first tooth came we saw it and thought, "oh, so I guess it does work!" hahaha
Ok, I'm getting convinced. Can you guys give me some advice on the sizing? I measured DD's neck and it was like 9 1/2". If I add a couple fingers to that to give a little room it is about 11". Do I get 10 1/2 -11 1/2" size or the 11 1/5" -12 1/2" size?
We also have some from Inspired By Finn. I love them and my girls do too. They wore them all of the time when teething, it really made a difference. I would always notice a mood switch when I'd forgotten to put one back on after a bath.
In addition, I bought one for my mother who has severe chronic jaw pain. She had severe neck pain. While it did not relieve her jaw pain (she's had like 40 surgeries, so that would have been a miracle) it did relieve her completely of her neck pain, which was a huge blessing.

In case anyone sees this, THANK YOU!! I have been using it since the moment we got it and it made such a difference on my daughter! I even took it off a few hours this week and the drool came on so strong so I put it back on. She wears it almost 24 hours a day right now!

We leave them on constantly except for baths.
Most people here buy from https://hyenacart.com/stores/inspiredbyfinn/

Something about water/soap/stuff degrading the amber and removing the succinic acid. I think. It was on an IBF care sheet. I think. lol

This is the one we have, we've had it maybe 4 days, I can already notice a difference in drool, it's gone down a lot.
Glad it's helping!
