I never gave this to my LO but the past few days she has been really upset due to 6 month shots and teething. So I gave her infant tylenol last night and the night before last. It really helped. But you can't give it every night can you?? Not that I would but I would like to know how often you give it to your LO.
Re: How often do you give your LO tylenol or one of those meds??
I give tylenol to my LO when I feel like there's no other option. He's fed, he's clean, he's not wet, and I've done everything else, and he's still carrying on. Usually he gets it about 5 hours after shots, and doesn't need it again.
I would give it to him for a couple days if it was needed for teething, but not more than that. I would try hylands tabs or orajel first though I think.
Rarely. Usually only when a fever is present. I hardly gave my DS any meds while he was teething. He just didn't seem to need it.
If you think it helps, go for it.

I definitely don't drug my son, but I have given it to him plenty of times. I give it an hour before he gets a shot, then I will give it to him every 4 hours for the rest of that day. We did not do that when he got his 3 mo shots, and we were up for forever while he cried so hard that he hyperventilated.
I have also given it to him 4-5 times for teething. The tablets don't do it for us, and if my child is in pain, I will do whatever I can to help him out. Granted, I try other things first, but the tylenol with some orajel really helps him!
Same here.
After reading the PPs suggestions, I'm going out to buy some Hylands Teething tablets, though. At 7 months old, Lydia still has yet to sprout a tooth. I have a feeling that's why she's grumpy from time to time.
