Since being pregnant and doing research on what to expect, I was surprised to see how many, I guess you would call thems "side effects", I didn't know about. Why doesn't anyone talk about these things before you get pregnant? For example, no one told me that I would get spontaneous nosebleeds or gingivitis, but I did!
What "side effects" are you getting as a result of your pregnancy that no one warned you about?
Re: They don't tell you THAT happens when you get pregnant!
And bleeding gums. This only happens for me every once in a while but I hate it.

the coughing, ughhhhh the coughing.
Oh and the shortness of breath comes earlier than I knew about
I have never had a nosebleed in my life, so I'm really hoping that one passes me by!
For me it has been constant gagging and really sensitive dry eyes.
This x1000 and super dry skin, especially on my legs.
Yes!! So gross! And this isn't my first pregnancy, but I seriously don't remember this business from the last time.
This!
And how quickly body hair grows back,
Extra mucus/post-nasal drip
And shortness of breath
lots of mucus. i sneeze all day long which makes me worry i'll pee my pants. safe so far.
i knew my hair might get thicker but WHOA. it's a nappy mess most mornings. the texture has changed too. i'm learning how to tame it.
i also had heard about a pg mask but didn't believe it. my face gets red/ or pale sometimes depending on the day.
Uh, maybe you should share some of those things with us. So at least we can expect them?

Lack of appetite. I thought that since I'm growing an extra little body in there, I would definitely get hungrier... but nope. I have less of an appetite and I've only just now gained a pound (maybe two more, but it comes and goes) at 18 weeks.
Other than that, I have had almost no symptoms at all. Just fatigue in the first tri, and muscle and RLP this past month or so.
Married DH 7/30/11
CSC arrived 5/7/12
CHC arrived 6/2/14
This, I've maybe gained about 3 pounds and it comes and goes. There are no foods that seem appealing and I can't even look at meat most of the time. But I have lots of other sypmtoms... Gas, (I could have probably made an atomic bomb with all the gas that has shot out of me.) My skin is awful, did not get a 'glow' like some of the lucky people, just breakouts. My Nipples & boobs hurt like a mother f. when they get cold. My gums bleed, I'm always congested, have round ligament pain, my tail bone hurts if I'm sitting too long...the list goes on.
Sciatica. Fruck you, sciatica. I hate your guts.
Also, gas.
The crazy dry skin on my face, constant congestion, and...my now HORRIBLE gag reflex!! Even if I cough too hard, I'll start gagging
That's the worst one besides looking like a lizard (dry skin) every time I get out of the shower and my face dries. It kills me because I can SCRUB the CRAP out of my face but no matter what, my skin still dries up and looks horrible. It's been like that since about 10 weeks or so for me!
Excess body hair.
I'm embarrassed when DH sees my stomach.
This is me, but I have had the gagging thing since 6 weeks.
