My first flaming was actually on TheKnot in 2005! I don't remember by who, but I was so upset about my SIL being unreasonable about the bridesmaid dress I picked out.
Long story, but it was over picking out a bridesmaid dress nearly a year before my wedding and a pissed SIL.
I can't remember if I have ever been flamed on TheBump. I wouldn't call it a flaming, but I remember at one point when people got BFPs they would have like 20 people paging them in a single page. After that happened to a few people over the course of a few days I made a PSA about how unnecessary it was. JME (who happened to be one of these people with a zillion pages for a BFP) jumped all over my case for being not being supportive of her BFP.

My first flaming was almost this exact thing! It was on The Knot and I got called selfish, stuck up, and unreasonable for even having an opinion on my bridesmaids dresses. Ha! I don't remember who it was by, but I just laughed it off.

I got flamed on BOTB, can't remember who...but I was trying to be helpful and my words totally got twisted.

A lady asked what kind of dog she should get her elderly mother, and I recommended a Boston Terrier (see my little baby below) because they are sooo easy to train and everything.

I recommended against a rescue (see my big baby below) because they can come with underlying issues: abuse, potty training issues, etc. I only said that for HER particular situation (elderly mother), but everyone thought I was bashing rescues and telling people not to get one. Once the flaming started there was no stopping it...

Ivy is the biggest drama queen. I'm good! I'm thinking about TTCing again soon since it took us a while for DD. Your little man is so cute.

Awwww she is adorable though! Thank you for the compliment as well. I am not using bc, but don't expect anything, so I totally understand not wanting to wait and then have it take a while. I wish you luck!!

I got flamed back when I was pg with my son & after my baby showers asking what people were planning on doing with the gifts that they received that were unneeded& would go unused (because they were either duplicates or something bought that you already had or didn't want etc) and got flamed for being so ungrateful for the gifts people bought for me & my baby. While I definitely see how my post came across as ungrateful, I also will never ever *not* shop off of a registry again because I realize how much more useful & needed those items are, than all the blankets, burp clothes, bibs, baby toys, clothes etc that I use to pick out for moms-to-be.

I also got flamed on TK when I was planning my wedding, for going tanning.

ETA that I haven't been flamed here yet, I usually think long & hard before I post and if anything that I am about to say might possibly be flamed for any reason.

I think I was (fairly mildly) flamed by GhostMonkey and ABC for testing early on one of those first charting cycles when I still had stupid amounts of hope.

I think the comments were mostly things like, " You are smarter than that. Come on now."

And I still chat with GM whenever I see her - I actually embarrassed the shizz out of myself about a month ago when I didn't catch on to something related to her- and I look forward to a good BWI session soon.

No one, to my knowledge anyway, has seen very much of ABC since the thrift store incident.

Oh man. I remember that. I wish she'd come out to play more often. I miss the old, old GP crew like christykell, CathyMD & 11Lemon11.

I miss "the stick" sometimes, too!

My first week on The Bump I was on the 1st Tri bump whining about how the big fat meanie ladies at Motherhood Maternity said I didn't have a bump so I didn't need to buy anything. I ended up DDing and got called out...which was 100% deserved.

I don't know if I would say flamed, but atlb made some comments to me when I first joined that rubbed me the wrong way. I don't even remember what they were.

I did ask her once if she didn't like me and she said she didn't recognize me and we must just see things differently or something like that. I don't talk to her directly but we both post on this board still.

I was flamed in my very first post here by GM and probably a few others, but I remember her the most. I used the "r-word" in reference to myself. It was completely insensitive and I deserved it.
Haven't been flamed since though
