plugged duct

how long can I walk around dealing with this plugged duct before I have to worry about mastitis? I noticed it last night and have been working with heat/massage but no change in almost 24 hours...it is not bigger, no fever, and it hurts a bit less (or maybe I'm just getting used to it?). I'm so frustrated...DD will be 4 weeks on Sunday and I felt like BFing was JUST getting easier and now this. ugh.

    Are you putting your DD on that side to nurse frequently? That will help it unplug.
    yes, I'm offering that side first at every feeding....it's so funny because usually she wants to nurse every 1.5-2 hours during the day...today, she's sleepy and going longer, so I keep waking her up to nurse. She nursed almost hourly on Tuesday, growth spurt maybe?
