My Three year old still enjoys board books.  I think the Karen Katz books are great, especially for an 8 month old.

I want to get DH's secretary's baby girl some books, and there are 2 sets on Amazon that look good.  Hopefully she doesn't have them already!

I'm confused why there would be an upper age limit on board books in general?  Because the kids can eat them easier as they get more teeth?!?  I figure that board books would survive longer than regular books until the kids are 3+ though the content of some may bore the hell out of the kid before 3 if the content is too babyish.
