DS is 8 weeks old and I started my first PP period yesterday. I was pumping around 34oz a day until yesterday when I produced 52oz!! I was totally psyched and then today it's back a little lower than 34oz probably.
Is it just a fluke or can your period affect your supply?
(I don't have set pumping times yet as I just started EPing recently)
Re: EP: Does your period affect your supply?
Sorry if my word holds no value since I haven't had my baby yet, but I thought I'd jump in =]
Are you sure that's even your period? I thought pp bleeding wasn't even supposed to be over for 6-7 weeks. It's so hard for me to believe you'd have a period SO quickly. (of course it could happen, but I'd be in awe)
I'm more inclined to think it's a fluke.
But again, my opinion could hold no value since I haven't been there yet =]
When the first pp period occurs really varies...I am EPing and I got mine at around 8 weeks. It sucks but its life...
And to the OP, I WISH that my pp period would have that kind of effect on my supply and increase it lol. But to answer the question, mine had no effect...
Yep, definitely my period....PP bleeding stopped around 5-6 weeks and then about a week to 10 days ago I had crazy fertile CM and just knew I was ovulating and sure enough I'm pretty sure I did! (which is insane because DH and I teased about having sex once before his vasectomy and SO glad we didn't because we are done with having kids!!)
