Trying to Get Pregnant

So let's talk board 'rules'.

When I left, because I had to, because I was KU... Preggo's left the board. There were ticker warning and all that happy horse $hit.

Now we're all one big happy family again?

Or is it that only the cool kids are allowed to stay?

  • My personal $.02, which may not even be worth that much, is that tickers warnings aren't really necessary here.  On 3T, sure, but here is overkill.

Also, I don't mind if grads come back here and there and post...but maybe not as much as they were posting before they got their BFP?

IDK, I guess what I'm saying is that you get your BFP and you graduate.  You move on.  But, I don't see a need to be banished from this board forever when you may have helpful info or just hop in on a thread here or there.  Did I make any sense at all? LOL

You made a ton of sense!

I think if the 'grads' post constantly, this is no longer a TTGP board.

BOTB rocks for what they do but that's just not this board.

I agree with this. I don't think we need ticker warnings however, if you get a BFP - move on a bit from the board. If there is a post that isn't getting right info and you feel you would be able to chime in with more insight, by all means go ahead.. but there's no need to post on every thread or post with as much frequency as you did when you were TTGP and not a grad.  At least, that's the "rule" I went with for the short times I got to leave.

I was trying to think of a nice way to say this.  I have zero problem with those who are KU coming back to check in and post here and there.  However, there are a few who post in every. single. thread. it seems.

  • I always laugh at the theory that "got pregnant" automatically makes you more knowledgeable about getting pregnant.

Just because I am not pregnant doesn't mean that I'm ignorant in how to get pregnant and/or the issues that can arise.

Quite the opposite actually, I daresay (pats self on back) I'm probably one of the most knowledgable people, when it comes to ttc, round these parts.

  • I am relatively new, but I don't mind posts from those who have had success! I am also on the 3T board, and I like to see grads come back every now and then from there as well!

But I do agree with some PP's - no need to really post in every single post that's out there...Just b/c you might find your BMB or the tri boards "boring" doesn't mean it's okay to come bring some drama to TTGP. I've seen that happen a few times. Kinda sucks for TTGP to be seen as some kind of "freak show".

My personal $.02, which may not even be worth that much, is that tickers warnings aren't really necessary here.

LOL

Agreed! Sweet Gotham is a good example of this. She was a regular and posted on everything and then got her BFP and went off to First Tri. Of course she stopped posting as much on TTC because of this but when she comes back I always think "YAY ITS HER!!! NOW PUT A CAT PIP!!"

Hopefully I am not the only one with a girl crush on her lol

The thing is that you make relationships with people on here and it would be impossible and pointless to cut the cord.

Plus lets face it, we do get a lot of morons on this board and you have to come back for the laughter.

  • I don't have a problem with preggos posting here, they are more than welcome.
  • These posts always make me laugh because I remember the exact post on botb that spawned this board in the first place and it was pretty much- the pregnants must die.
