Any LO's refusing whole milk??

in December 2010 Moms
Because mine is, we have tried mixing it with BM, vanilla pediasure, organic milk, warm, cold and he wants nothing to do with itAngry  I am planning on cutting him off the boob at 1 year but need him to take whole milk in order for that to happen, any advice??

    I have no advice but just wanted to say Griff will only take a sip or two of WCM from his sippy cup.  But when I mix WCM with warm formula (eta- in a bottle), he'll drink it all.  I guess LOs are just really picky.  Seems like you tried everything though so I'm not sure what else you can do!  =S

    E won't take it either. He just lets it leak out of his mouth, although I haven't tried it in nearly as many ways as you have.

    Yaegaer- that is hilarious and awful at the same time :)

    I have no doubt we will get there but I am not going to continue to BF much longer so I would like the transition to be smooth if possible

    M won't take it either.  He gets so excited to swipe his sister sippy cup only to find that there is milk in it.  He usually takes a giant swig of it and spits it all out.  I'm not sure what we're going to do either.  He'll probably nurse 'til he goes to college.  Wink

    Mine is doing the same thing... he was just introduced to it this past weekend so he's not a fan yet. Just be patient, he'll get there. I went through the same thing with DS1.

    Maybe try giving him BM in a bottle first!?  Then slowly mixing in a bit of whole milk very gradually!?

    G is not a big fan either. I am starting to mix whole milk into his formula 1 ounce at a time. So far we are only at one ounce, but I think this is how we're going to do it. My girlfriend had the same problem and she did it this way, and it worked out for them. Now she loves it! Maybe try that, like a gradual mix?
