What's the consensus on Mucinex?

I was thinking this might be easier for me than green tea as I really don't like green tea. I have NEVER heard this before, but then again I haven't heard many things before this board! I know we have a bottle of mucinex so thinking of popping one now.

    Green Tea creates more CM...Mucinex and Robitussin thin out the CM so sperm can travel easier(if your CM is thick).  

    My Ovulation Chart Hoping for a shamrock baby....Grandma, I know you are up there looking down on me. March and St Patrick's Day is a very special time for all of us. It would be amazing to find out I was pregnant in March! Please send me all your Irish luck (been trying for 7 months and I need it!) I Love you! XOXOXOXO

    PS.  If you want to thin out the CM you need to get the Mucinex or Robitussin with ONLY the Guaifenesin as the active ingredient.  Robitussin does not make one with Guaifenesin as the only active ingredient anymore though so you have to find one that does.  I found a off brand at the grocery store that compares to Robitussin and had the only one active ingredient.  The Robitussin suggestion is in Take Charge of Your Fertility and my friends doc suggested my bf to try it after 5 months of trying and then she got pregnant so maybe she had too thick of CM and it thinned it out which helped.

    Wow! Do you need to take it daily? I don't think I'd be cool with that. Maybe like 2 or 3 times a week?

    So I actually had a cough during when I think my fertile window was, and used that as an excuse to take mucinex. Ftr- it made me pretty drowsy (of course after bding), and I only took it once a day at bed time. It really does wonders for a cough and it seemed to work on my cm.

    Yes read the part on Robitussin in Take Charge Of Your Fertility.  You can view many pages on Amazon as a sneak peak and you can see the section on Robitussin..it tells you how much to take..I think it is supposed to be like a day or something during your fertile week.

    I got pregnant with my daughter the first cycle I tried Robitussin.  It was our 4th cycle trying.  It could have been a coincidence, but I'm taking it again.  I take one dose nightly starting at CD10 until O.  Walgreens has a Tussin with only guaifenesin.
