TTC After a Loss

for those who have had a m/c due to a molar pregnancy, a ?

For those of you who recently had a m/c associated with a molar pregnancy, would any of you be interested in a once/twice monthly check-in?

Basically it would be a where are you at (i.e., still getting b/w weekly, monthly, in your TTA journey after your HCG levels reach zero, etc.) and how are you doing type check-in? I was also thinking it would be a good way for us to share information and get to know each other better. I was just considering this but if there isn't enough interest I understand.

ETA: Please only respond if you have had a molar pregnancy. Also, this check-in, if there is enough interest, could occur on either board (MPL or TTCAL) or be linked to both.

  • I would be interested.  I hasnt been very long since we had our Complete Molar Pregnacy.  Luckily it only took 2 weeks after MC for my levels to go back to Zero.  We are now in the 6 month waiting game.  I have had to have HCG tested every month for the next 6 months.  It is very nice to be able to talk with women that are going through the same thing.  As the weeks go by I think it is going to get harder for me.  I would definitely love to be able to see how other women are doing as well in thier journey to TTC after their MP.

These are my thoughts as well. It only took me 3 weeks for my levels to get back to zero after my partial molar pregnancy and I am now in the waiting game as well. I've had my first of six monthly b/w results but still have 5 more months before we can TTC (although I will be talking with my OB about this as I have heard of some women who were given a 3 month wait time by OBs more experienced in molar pregnancies).

  • I would participate if this got started, but I am not sure that there are enough of us to keep it going. If there was a link to it posted on the m/c board I think it could be good for people who were just diagnosed to see so they know they aren't alone. I do agree that it is nice to see how people are coping, which is why I like the molar pregnancy board on babycenter.

I honestly believe that even if there are only a few of us participating that it would be worth it. Molar pregnancies are rare enough that I knew that there wouldn't be that many people who would respond. At the same time, it is nice to be able to talk to people who are going through, or have gone through, a similar situation.

I also agree that it would be a positive thing for those on the MPL board who have/are undergoing a m/c due to a molar pregnancy to realize they are not alone and that there are others they can talk with and ask questions of. I know that when I first got my pathology results I had never heard of anyone having had a molar pregnancy before and still do not know of anyone IRL who has had one (although I've heard friends of friends who have). It was nice to get on here and realize that I wasn't alone and that others had the same thoughts/questions I did.

Thanks so much! I am a lucky girl. My OB is amazing and has been with us since our first MC.  She takes really good care of my DH and I.  I am not much far behind you on the waiting game.  I really hope these months go by fast for all of us ladies.

  • I actually think it might be nice if there were just a few of us.  To be honest I checked out the board for Molar Pregnacy on the babycenter and it was almost a little overwhelming.  I couldnt keep up with everyone.

I like that there would just be just a fhandfulof us so I could really get to know you ladies more personally and be able to follow along with you journeys and stories a little better.  I am not very computer savy. I am doing good to fingure out this website alone.  Haha...

I look forward to hearing more about your MP and sharing concerns, questions, vents with eachother Big Smile
