  He loves it and it doesn't take much room.  I don't know about flooring, since he plays on carpet.

  We live in a small two bedroom house with wood floors and Juliana has this rocker:

  

  If you have a rug to set it on while they rock, that works our great. If not, then it will move a bit while they rock but nohting to extreme. Juliana loves her rocker. This one was purchased off of amazon.

  I would get a little carpet for the rocker ? there?s some really cute rocking horses on aBaby.com. We recently purchased the Blaze Firetruck Rocker for our LO. He?s just the right age for it and he loves sitting on it. I like the little backrest that gives him support ? not many rockers have this. There are 4 buttons in the front, when pressed they play educational songs that teach the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and more.
