3rd Trimester

Where do you feel your baby kick?

I was feeling my baby kick the upper right and lower left corner of my belly until last week.  Now I mainly feel it lower left side near the cervix.  I have an anterior placenta, but that doesn't muffle the baby's movement much any more, and I can see my belly move when the baby is kicking hard.  I guess I'm a little concerned because my son was breech, and he hip got stuck in my pelvic bones around 28 weeks.  As of last week, we saw the baby's head was down via ultrasound, and the technician said most likely he/she will stay that way.

Where do you feel your baby's movements?  TIA!

Re: Where do you feel your baby kick?

  • I feel my little one kick to my left side all the time. I am 4 days over, so he doesn't have room to move now and he is stuck there.

  • James has been head down since forever, and I often feel his hands moving around right down by my pelvis, but I'll get thumps in all sorts of places, and if I'm laying on my side, sometimes it feels like he's jabbing my side!
  • I feel LO kick all over, my last ultra sound LO was breached, however the one before that he was head down. Doctor said they move so much and its not a predictor of complications during delivery.
  • Usually just above my belly button as babe is in fetal position with bum up by my ribs. I get jabs in my bladder/ cervix... Love punches lol

  • LO has been head down for the last few ultrasounds and doctors visits (the Dr. squishes around on my belly to find baby's body).  I always feel kicks on my right side near my ribs and I feel hand movements low near my pelvis.  I have a right anterior placenta and it doesn't seem to hinder my ability to see/feel her kicks either.

  • low and towards my back

  • Literally everywhere. Lower now a days. But I can see just about every movement I can feel. She rolls and makes my belly lopsided quite frequently as well.

  • I'm 29 weeks and my LO is still breech (he was very troublesome during my 28 week u/s).  Most of the kicks I get are way down deep at the bottom, and I feel a lot in the sides of the uterus too (elbows?).  The doctors aren't concerned, though, and he has plenty of time to flip.
  • I can feel DS on the upper left side of my belly pretty consistently-- I am pretty sure he is head down and I am feeling his feet.  DD turned around this time, too and stayed put... wondering if he will do the same!

  • He is head down, I feel kicks in the upper right side and what I believe must be punches on the left lower, I also have an anterior placenta but that doesn't seem to muffle movements anymore either.
  • My baby girl moves almost all the time on the upper right side of my belly its weird i feel almost nothing on the left. its her butt thats up on my right side she has been head down forever and i can feel movement down at the bottom of my uterus too. i love watching my belly bounce around...i can put my cell phone on my belly and watch it bounce around!!
  • Big body rolls in the middle of my tummy, near my belly button. It's his butt. Kicks in my right side... pretty far to the side. Hand punches in my cervix. He is really low, so I haven't gotten any rib kicks (yet).

  • Thank you for your replies!  I carry the baby low, the same way I did with my son.  It's just my body type, but once my son "sat" between my pelvic bones, he wan't able to turn any more.  Hopefully, this baby will stay head down!

  • I feel baby kick all over too. Baby is still moving around quite a bit. Mostly I feel the head to the lower left, and what I think are little feet kicking to the lower right. Sometimes the feet kick up higher on the right. Would love to see how he/she is positioned in there.
