Okay...how does this possible reveal sound?

So as I have shared before DH and I are on different pages about finding out the sex. I want team green ...he wants to know. So I think I have come up with a fair solution!

Our A/S is on Christmas Eve.I am going to buy 2 identical christmas cards-I will have the doctor write down the sex on one card and put it in the envelope. I am going to put both cards in a bag and shake it up so we don't know which one is which....then we will put them on the tree! On Christmas morning DH will open one card--If it has the sex written down then we will know! If not-it will remain a secret until the birth! This way we both have an equal shot at getting "our way".

Slightly ridiculous? YES!
Do I care? No!

That's a great idea! If it was me personally, I would never have the self-restraint not to open that second envelope if the first one didn't have the answer in it! It's totally fair, and gives you something extra to look forward to at Christmas. :-)

Cute idea, but I do feel bad for him if he doesn't find out. I couldn't possibly go that long without finding out. Why can't he find out and keep it a secret? Too tempting?

Oh lord, DH can't keep a secret for more than 2 minutes. He agreed that it wouldn't be a good idea if he knew and I didn't and said he would feel bad if he "slipped up" and told me what LO is.
That is why I was trying to go with a more 50-50 approach.

Yeah, seems like the most fair to me, then! I like the idea - very clever. I am rooting for your DH (LOL only because I know if it were me, I couldn't be on Team Green)! Can't wait to hear the outcome!!! I think you should take a picture of the winning Christmas card and do a PIP haha.

I think after he selects his card that he wants to open, you should take the other one and burn it before he opens the one he selected. Or do something to it so that he can't try to go after that card if he didn't pick the one he wanted!
