spotting and luteal phase....

I have a question about spotting, and I have searched google, but wanted ya'lls expertise as well.  I always spot 4-6 days prior to starting AF, and my cycles range from 26-30 days each month.  This is one of the reasons I started charting and temping this month, so I can see the parttern.

 So, my question is...when I start spotting, my luteal phase is over right? 

I started taking B6 yesterday b/c all the research I have done says this may help, and I just wanted to see what would happen this month b/c I think with the spotting my LP may not be long enough.

Also, I am 33, so I am not sure if age has anything to do with lower hormone levels...

    I may be wrong but I don't think your LP is over until AF starts, first day of red flow.

    Spotting does not mean LP is over.  Only the first day of AF, where you need a pad or a tampon, indicates your LP is over.  It is not uncommon to get some LP spotting.  It may mean that you may have a LP deficiency, but it may not.

    Those 4-6 days of spotting would still be part of your luteal phase.  Your cycle ends w/ the first day of red blood.
