When DD is about 8 months, we are going to start ttc again because we want our children to be close in age. These are the boy names I love, but have a few issues with some of them.
Tell me what you think pleaseeeeee!!
Gavin-is the name of one my best friend's other good friend's son. I am around her alot, but would NOT really consider her to be a friend of mine.
Landon and Liam- I love but I am concerned about popularity
Julian and Adrian- DH has a love/hate relationship because he thinks they sound "feminine." but he could def be swayed. He prefers Adrian of the two (football lol)
Isaiah and Gabriel- too ethnic?
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME OTHER IDEAS ALONG WITH YOUR CRITIQUE OF MY NAMES! TIA!
Re: Critique and HELP (boys)
LOVE Ruby BTW
Isaiah I like. I 100% agree that Julian and Adrian ,and even Gabriel, are too feminine and not for a strong boy. Like Landon, hate Liam, like Gavin.
I like Gavin, and I like Gabriel, but I strongly dislike the NN Gabe so I wouldn't use it for that reason. I also like Liam a lot, but I too consider it uber popular and would not want my kid to be one of 5 in his class with the same name.
Landon I used to love but my DH ruined it bc when he hears it he thinks about "landing a plane" lol, stupid yes but it took the appeal of the name away for me.
I agree with your husband on Adrian, I know it goes either way, but every Adrian I ever knew was a girl. I am on the fence with Julian, don't love it, don't hate it. Isaiah I do not care for at all.
How about Kellan/Kellen? I am biased bc it is my son's name but I love it and think it would go well with your DD's name.
Gavin - for some reason I just never really liked this name. And the fact that your friend's friend has a Gavin and you're around her a lot, that might bug me a little if it were me.
Landon and Liam - Both great names! Have you looked at the SSA list for your state and the number of births? More and more people are choosing different names now a days, so the actual number of babies with that name may be fairly low even if the ranking is in the top 50.
Julian and Adrian - I'm with your DH on this one. I kinda feel like they sound feminine even though they are boy names. But I still feel Adrian has an appeal to it.
Isaiah and Gabriel - I don't see these as being ethnic at all! They are good, solid biblical names.
Some suggestions: Tobias, Julius, Judah/Jude, Simon, Levi, Graham
My furchildren, Dorothy and Johnny
totally agree! I am on the line with Gabriel since I loathe the NN Gabe!
Kellen is cute!
Gavin - it's ok but it is WAY popular in my area
Landon and Liam- I like them both and they are not as popular as Gavin (atleast where I live)
Julian and Adrian -too feminine!!!!!!!!!!
Isaiah- my favorite of your choices
Gabriel- I also think this sounds a bit feminine, and I'm not a fan of the nn Gabe
I like Gavin, Landon, and Liam but wouldn't use them because they are too popular in my area/circle.
I agree with your husband and think Julian and Adrian are wussy names. I have never liked either of them.
I really like Isaiah, and think a Ruby and Isaiha sibset would be super cute!
Gabriel is okay, but I don't think you should use it since you hate the nickname Gabe so much. This is one of those nickname names that seems inevitable to me.
this!
