Our dishwasher in our house recently broke and DH and I bought a new energy star dishwasher that uses significantly less water. In the directions, it says to use a rinse aid (they supplied a sample of Finish Jet Dry) b/c the since less water is used to clean, it needs the 'sheeting action' of the Jet Dry to thoroughly clean the dishes. I've never used a rinse aid before, just 7th Generation dishwasher gel. Does anyone know if there is an EF version of a rinse aid?
Re: Is there an EF version of 'Jet Dry'?
Love Vinegar. We have hard water and I'm a cheap skate and can't bring myself to buy the jet dry. Vinegar works great. Also works great at my moms house and they have super hard water.
We use white vinegar.
I've goofed and used ACV to clean the toilet/bathtub before. Kinda turned it a funny color and left a lot more work. So definitely use white! It'll leave them super shiny!
Yep, white vinegar. This is up there as one of the best pieces of advice I've received on this board.
Wow, I need to get out more.
Vinegar. I also just recently made my own dishwasher detergent.
