There was no change on the U/S today. They took my hcg level and it was 41000 which is consistant with being 8 weeks so we should have seen something today. He said I could wait to miscarry naturally, take a pill to help it along, or do a d&c... I am going with the d&c so I can get it behind me. I didnt want to spend my t-day weekend waiting for it to "pass" and I didnt want to take the chance of having a miscarriage at work or somewhere.
Im a little scared because I've never had any sort of procedure done before.

I am so so sorry for your loss.
I had a d&c back in 2008 and a few other girls on the board have had one as well. The procedure was quick, you will be put under. I didn't have any pain, just some spotting for a couple of days. I had it done on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday. Take care of yourself and if you need anything at all feel free to ask!
I am so sorry for your loss, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
I had a loss last year, and had a D&C. It was also my first procedure and I didn't know what to expect, but it was physically very easy. They gave me some meds to make me loopy, then put me under, and I woke up in recovery with no pain, just grogginess. I took it easy for that day, and took some ibuprofen that day, but I don't think I needed it anymore after that. If you have any questions or need support, we are here for you. The mc/pl and TTCAL boards are also awesome for support.
(hug)
I'm so sorry

Oh hun, I am so so sorry =(
(((hugs)))
I have not had a d&c, but my procedure this past summer was on my cervix and first time being put under. It was quick and light meds, I was given the loopy stuff and don't remember anything until I woke up. I was pretty sick (throwing up) from the meds but otherwise good to go home.
Please take care of yourself! Sounds like you have a great bf to lean on. Thoughts are with both of you.
so sorry to hear that. you'll be in my thoughts!
I've had 2 D&C's, and it really is a simple procedure. Take some advil and rest today. You might have some bleeding, but you'll likely feel (physically) fine by tomorrow.
I'm so so sorry.
