So My 23yr old brother recently proposed to a woman who is much older then he is. She has three children. We were talking about it at my grandmas house last weekend and my aunt said to me "Hows it feel that your mom is going to be a grandma?!" I was appalled! and sooo hurt! She knows what we've been going through.  I am the oldest in my family so I was always supposed to be first. Not to mention it hardly counts. My brother is young and dumb and as much as Im hoping and praying for his happiness im doubtful this will last. Of course i just laughed it off. I didn't want her to know how much she got to me.... Yes she is that kind of person. Although I don't think she realizes how badly, what she said felt.

    IVF - January 2012: BFN
    FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
    After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

    I'm sorry people are stupid.

    I am fortuante that my family is understanding and supportive. But I do get frustrated when my DH brother and wife complain about having to get up early to take their boy to school. :p Don't complain about small things about your children around those you KNOW are struggling.

    Agreed!

    do you find though that if you were to say anything to people you get labelled as a bitter person just b/c you don't have any kids or are having a hard time. I'm not bitter, I just don't like seeing people treat their kids as inconviences instead of the wonderful gift they are.
