Scored some used gDipes! Now what?

I was in a consignment store over the weekend and happened upon two pair of barely used Small gPants plus 4 snap-in waterproof liners, all for $8!!! I'm having a little boy (Jan 22nd) and am just starting my stash. I hadn't considered gDipes until finding this great deal. I want to stuff them with cloth, but upon examination, it seems like all the inserts that I already have are way too big, and would cause the gussets of the plastic liner to gap and not sit next to baby's skin.

Do I have anything that you've tried before with success:

Flip Stay Dry Inserts
Flip Organic Inserts
Kiwi Pie Bamboo Inserts
Kissaluvs Super Soaker
Babykicks Hemp Prefolds
Babykicks Hemparoo Joey Bunz Inserts
Rumparooz 6R Hemp Soaker

Keep in mind the dipes are size small. Many of the above would probably be viable with the Med/Lg gDipe, but bulky enough w/the small as to cause leaks.

I don't want to have to buy new, expensive, trimmer inserts, as that defeats the purpose of the great deal I got. But it looks like I might have to.

Since I don't have any prefolds (except for hemp ones, that are too thick and fluffy) could I get away with Gerber brand? Or are those a joke?

Gerber aren't absorbant. I was assuming the hemp would fit - if they won't, buy a dozen newborn sized prefolds. There are reccs in the spreadsheet in my siggy.

We stuff our smalls with 4x8x4 prefolds the look like the would be to big but they really do fit and work well. the liner will take on a curve and that is ok. We have had 0 leaks in the the 5 weeks we have been useing them.
