Co-sleeper recommendations

Does anyone use an arm's reach co-sleeper? What do you like and dislike about it? Does anyone have any other co-sleeper recommendations?  I'm trying to find something that will help with nighttime BF but am not so thrilled that most models of co-sleepers can only be used for the first 5 months. Thanks for any insight.

Re: Co-sleeper recommendations

  • Honestly we just put her PNP next to our bed. I'm glad we didn't get something else because she refuses to sleep anywhere but on my chest or in between us. I can't even put her on the other side of me!

  • we have been thinking about it but haven't gotten one yet for the reason you mentioned. We have a bassinet and it's a PAIN to get her in and out of it
  • We do and we love it!  I got the full size one and attached it to the bed. It is so easy to BF her at night and not have to lean down to get her.  We use a pack n play at my in laws and it is more of a pain to get her out since she is so much lower in it. I also love that she and I can see each other easily (I'm constantly watching her breathing). One negative is that a bracket on ours was installed wrong and we had to have them send us a new bracket. It was easy to fix though. Overall, it was easy to put together and attach to the bed. Hope this helps! GL! :)

  • We have the mini version of the arm's reach and love it.  It's nice having DS right next to you and just being able to roll over to tend to him during the night versus having to get up out of bed.

  • We have the arms reach co-sleeper and I love it. It is comfortable to use at night and I am able to reach in and comfort the little one when she is fussing. I also use it around the house depending on where I am hanging out. I just roll it wherever I need it; it's super convenient. Right now I have it rolled up next to me in my recliner, and it is awesome since I had a c-section and can't move around very much. I would definitely recommend it.

  • We have the arms reach cosleeper mini and love it. It's great having her so close where I can reach a fallen paci or wipe up after she spits up. It gives me extra peace of mind to be able to look over from my pillow and check on her. Worth every penny!

  • We have the full sized arms reach and I have been happy with it. I love that I do not have to get out of bed to feed her. I like that it turns into a play yard once you are done using it as a cosleeper.

  • I recently just purchased the co sleeper mini and it was one of the best purchases I've made so far.  I have one of the babies that would only sleep on me or next to me in the bed.  8 weeks of battles trying to get her to sleep in her playpen or bassinette with no luck.  Decided to try the cosleeper and I get her to sleep in there most of the night, I believe largely because if she fusses its easy for me to do the same things I would do with her in the bed with me (arms around her, etc) and I sleep next to that edge of the bed so my smell is close.  Also, for transition for me, I getmore sleep because I can quickly check on her if she's stirring as opposed to the few times I got her to sleep in the bassinette where every noise she made I was having to sit up to see if she was waking up or just shifting.  Totally worth the cost!

  • We had one, the Original Arm?s Co-sleeper, which is the biggest one. And we used it with the MamaDoo Kids mattress topper. We would have been fine using a play yard instead. We are realizing it now. Because now we have a Chicco play yard to travel with, which we use with the same mattress topper (the Original and the standard sized play yards have the same size), and it came with a bassinet which could have been used the first few months. Oh, well. Good luck!
