XP: Introducing a bottle to a reluctant baby- help!

Our DD is just over two weeks old. I was reluctant to introduce a bottle this early because I was worried about nipple confusion but our pedi recommended introducing it this week or next. We tried two different types of bottles today and DD was not having it! I'm not going back to work until after the new year but I'm concerned that she is so resistant. Any suggestions?

One of my friends had a resistant baby (she tried at 5 weeks) and it just took time and persistence (trying day after day). I'd have someone besides you be the one trying the bottlefeeding (my understanding is that if the mom tries it baby won't bite since they know the milk machine is right.there), but aside from that I don't have any suggestions.

I'm actually going to have DH try and give D a bottle this evening. I'm late to the game and figuring he'll probably not like the idea much...

DD wanted nothing to do with it on the first try- we tried the medela bottle/nipple that came with my pump. Then we switched to the born free bottles and she did much better. Have you tried warm & cold milk? Feed LO before they're hungry- DD will even take a bottle from me now, but only if I catch her waking up before she's alert. Try leaving the house, or having someone feed her from the bottle while wearing a shirt you recently had on. That's all I've got at the moment. Hope it helps! Also, FWIW, we did t try the bottle till ~12w which is way later than recommended and she does fine.
