3rd Trimester

35weeks - Baby hasn't moved today...

I'll be 35 weeks as of tomorrow and have a very active little girl, but I haven't felt her move today. I am quickly becoming very worried. I called my doc and am waiting to hear back. Should I be concerned or is she just having a lazy day!?

Re: 35weeks - Baby hasn't moved today...

  • Like PP, try to eat and drink something and lay down for about 20 min.  If you still haven't felt any movement today and your Dr isn't calling you back, I would definitely go into Labor and Delivery, just incase.  I'm sure it's nothing, but better to just be safe.
  • Have you been really active today? I know I have scared myself many times because I was busy cleaning all day or just being active moving around all day that it rocks your LO to sleep. Drink ice cold water or something sweet and lay on your left side and see if she wakes up. Babies have lazy days but I'm glad you called your dr. They might tell you to come into l&d to be monitored. I have had to go in and she was just lazy but I was so relieved to hear her heart beat on that monitored. Good luck and keep us posted!

  • I can totally understand the feeling. My little one never seems to stop, but the day after our beloved pet jumped on my tummy, he decided to take it slow. It worried me all day. Right as I was about to go in, he was kicking so hard he made me cry.
  • My doctor never got back to me. I went and layed on my side and sure enough, she started moving. Finally! Thank you for your reassurance, ladies.
  • I'm glad everything worked out.  My mom just told me the other day that if LO doesn't move as much try not to worry.  She said me and my siblings didn't move much as it got closer to 40 weeks (no matter how much poking and prodding she did).  I know every pregnancy is different but I do know that babies tend to nap more the closer to labor you get.

  • :) My sister told me the same thing. She said my LO is getting more crowded and sleeping more now. I'm just happy to feel her move!

  • Yeah glad to hear she started moving, I guess that means she is having a lazy day

  • I have been freaking out all the time since around the same week up until now but I drink sprite to wake her up when I get really freaked. Its caffiene free but the sugar and bubbles wake her up :)
