March 2012 Moms

"Well, I didn't notice your stomach but your boobs got bigger!"

Is what I heard from one of my male clients this morning when I told him I was pregnant and we'd have to work around the baby's schedule for our February/March meeting next year. I think I turned a fun shade of red.

Re: "Well, I didn't notice your stomach but your boobs got bigger!"

  • If it helps, I got this comment the other day: "Your stomach is HUGE! But your boobs look about the same. That's weird."

Ouch. I think it's just because I'm so short-bodied, though...there's just nowhere for my stomach to go but out! It's so big now that it distracts from the boobs. Which, for the record, have indeed grown :-)

  • That's so unprofessional and innapropriate.  I don't even know what I'd say if someone I only knew professionally said that to me.

It wouldn't be ok if he said it when you weren't pregnant, it's still not ok knowing you are.

  • I wouldn't feel comfortable working with a client who found it okay to comment on the size of my boobs.
  • I think that def. crosses the comfort line. He must be single.
