I've been perusing some of the belly pictures on other boards and I look NOTHING like them. I'm 15 weeks have no bump at all. My pants are tighter and I can see a new little bulge very low down, but that's it. It's freaking me out. I'm short and was thin-ish to begin with and don't carry weight around my belly, so I thought I'd show earlier. I know that girls who are very fit don't show til later because their abs hold it in better, and I *used* to work on my ab muscles a lot, but it's been a long time since I've set foot in a gym.
I've been pretty paranoid throughout this pregnancy and got DH to agree to wait to tell everyone. We agreed on Thanksgiving, but now I'm getting cold feet
Anyone else not showing yet?
Re: 15 weeks and not showing - anyone else?
Everyone shows at a different pace. I don't think your bump size (or lack thereof) correlates with the health of your pregnancy. Lots of people (especially first time moms) don't show until 20 weeks or after.
I'm not really showing either. I'm not built like you (i'm plus sized and tall with a long torso) but I'm still in all my regular clothes and haven't gained any weight yet. In my first pregnancy I didn't really show either. I felt so self conscious walking into the hospital to deliver because I thought no one would believe that I was really pregnant...

I'm 15 weeks and definitely not showing yet. I am sitting down and work which is usually when it is slightly noticeable and still my boss commented on how I'm not even showing.
I guess it helps that I'm tall, still throwing up, and still swimming a few times a week.
I have my next OB appointment tomorrow and I'm a little nervous because of the lack of a bump so hopefully everything checks out.
I know exactly how you feel. I am 5'1 and a size 0. I figured I would show early because the baby would have nowhere to go. I remember freaking out around week 15 too. Now I am at week 20 and just starting to see a slight change. I am still in the same jeans and everything and I've only gained 3 lbs. I still don't appear to be pregnant to anyone that doesn't already know. I googled 20 weeks pregnant and I have no idea where my baby is fitting because I don't look like anyone online.
I have asked my doctor every time we meet if I should worry and she said everyone is different and I am fine. So now I have decided that she must know what she's doing and I need to stop worrying. I would suggest that you just relax and enjoy the savings on maternity clothes for now

I'm exactly the same. I'm 15 weeks and I'm short and thin too (about 5'2" 110 pounds) and I'm not showing anything yet. Well, I can tell I'm a little thicker around the middle, and I have a larger than usual pooch after I eat, but so far even my husband can't really tell a difference. My doctor seems to think everything is perfectly normal though, so I'm happy
Everyone told me that since I am small that I would start to show faster than larger people. All the old ladies at work are SUPER disappointed whenever they see me, and they make jokes like "where you hiding that thing?!" Kind of annoying, but I'm just going to try to enjoy wearing my regular clothes for as long as possible.
Possibly a bit of an Old Wives Tale, but I always heard that women carry like their moms. So if your mom showed (relatively) late, you probably will too.
I definitely showed much later with my first pregnancy then I did with my second (current) one. The first time around I gained about 10 pounds by now and I wasn't showing at all. This time I have only gained 2 1/2 pounds but Oi Vey my belly is huge.
I forgot that we 'came out' on PCE at the same time and we're around the same point!!!
I'm just really bloated. I look fat more than anything
LOL I was so excited when you announced so that I'd have a PCE pregnancy buddy :-)
W O W ! Are you lucky! I just keep sticking out in front like a Boeing 747. I just keep getting bigger and bigger each hour.
Well I do understand your predicament and do sympathize with you on this; but, here's the lowdown as for me I popped in my 17th week with this pregnancy. In my second pregnancy it was in week 19 while my first pregnancy happened toward the end of week 24 a few days after I had seen my doctor for my 24 week check-up. I ask him way I hadn?t shown my bump yet - he smiled and simply said (for a first time pregnancy) ?it usually averages happening in week 21; however, it can happen any time usually between weeks 14-32 so just don?t get discouraged young lady it will happen to you and when it does you?ll wish it had taken a little longer. Why? ?Cause then is when it?s noticeable to everyone and you become very uncomfortable having that big bump out in front not being able to get comfortable - standing, sitting, walking, lying down, seeing your shoes, bending over, stooping, putting on your socks or shoes, etc., etc., etc.?
?Also when it happens you?ll find it?s harder on your back, legs, stomach, breast, shoulders making it harder to balance, walk, especially getting up out of bed or a chair when sitting down. So just enjoy the fact it's not all out in front right now.
However I do understand you want to pop - show-off out in front!?
I know this is not what you wanted to hear - really just grin, smile, laugh a little it will happen before you know it!
GL!
