2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition?: I love Christmas services at church. Unfortunately ILs church doesn't have them, so I'm not sure what we'll do this year.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year?: Usually I try to avoid it.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)?: I love (tasteful) house and outdoor tree lights.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)?: a Garmin 110 GPS watch
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it?: We haven't even started shopping yet! Eek.
1. Do you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, other holiday, or none? Christmas, but I work at a University and have attended celebrations for all of the above!
2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? I used to love as a child the anticipation on Christmas Eve. We would always be at my Aunt's house for a Christmas eve party and my cousin and I would be "food servers" to all our family. I think we did that to get some extra "good list" points in with Santa! LOL. Now I love waking up Christmas morning with my husband and making a big breakfast then opening our gifts together before seeing all the family.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Yes! Love it, but I refuse to go at midnight. I don't like the idea of shopping on Thanksgiving. I am not going for anything in particular, just good sales on clothes and toys for family.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? I figured everyone who celebrated Christmas would put their tree so I wanted to hear what other fun decorations people had. My favorite is my Dickens Christmas Village!
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? I want a new pair of boots and some fun computer or wii games to get me through my IVF in January/February. I need to keep my mind busy during that time!
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? I bought DH a new leather jacket and cannot wait to give it to him!

2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? My family is Swedish, so we do a lot of traditional type things. We also eat a lot of pickeled herring and lutefisk.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Not really a black Friday here, but if there are deals, I am there.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? My parents have a big victorian home with a really beautiful staircase. We grap garland and lights all the way up, it is so pretty.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? Diamond earings (I am sure I won't get them).
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? I also havn't started shopping yet.

I love lighting the tree and singing carols as we bake our Christmas cookies.

Yep, it's tradition! This year it will just be DH and I usually it's my mom, my sisters and I. We will be getting a tv and possibly new pots and pans.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)?
Last year I got a little card tree, you can clip photos and cards to it, I love swing it on my kitchen counter!
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)?
I will be beyond happy for some peace and quiet, perhaps a new book...
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it?
I am pretty excited to send my elf their gift. I will also be getting FIL a camera and I know he will love that.

My family puts silly things on the gift tags instead of names, and the best part is trying to figure out who the gifts go to since there aren't any names.

Absolutely not, no, never. Can't stand crowds. Online deals though, maybe.

When MH and I moved into our new house, we made our own wreath together, and that's my favorite decoration.

A food processor.

I am taking a photo that my dad took on their vacation in Hawaii and having it printed on a canvas for him. He secretly wishes he were a professional photographer and I think it'll be really neat for him to have a canvas of a photo he took himself.

I want to shop this Black Friday but I might have a doctors appointment that morning! If I do go shopping I will not be looking for anything in particular since I am done shopping for presents, just going for the fun of it.

Last year we drank spiked Seredipity frozen hot chocolate and played Guitar Hero. I love spending Christmas with my parents and sister, but there's something special to me about spending that time with DH
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Not usually. I avoid it at all costs. However, my parents are visiting for Thanksgiving and my mom wants to go, so I apparently am going this year. There really isn't anything I'll be looking for - I just want to survive it.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? I love lights on houses and candles in windows. People don't put candles in windows out here, but I love them when we spend Christmas in NY
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? DH got me a Kindle Fire yesterday, so all I really want is an Amazon gift card

1. Do you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, other holiday, or none? I'm Jewish, DH is not. We do Hanukkah with my family, Christmas with his but neither in a religious way.
2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? No special tradition, just getting together with family. DH and I do give each other an ornament each year for our little tree.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Absolutely not, I hate shopping and hate shopping in crowds even more. Maybe I will do some online stuff but even that I find overwhelming.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? I made a Blue and While Jewish Star Tree Topper out of styrofoam, felt and glitter the first year that DH and I lived together and got a tree (my first tree being Jewish). It is very cute and homemade looking and it is definitely a converstation piece when people come over.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? Really nothing special, DH has been travelling so much for work and we are moving Dec. 1 so I am just looking forward to some quiet time alone. We don't usualy do gifts, but will do something special together- a trip, concert, nice dinner (depends on how broke we are)
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? The gift of some quiet time alone with DH in our new house. We are not going anywhere for the holidays since we will have just moved in to our new house in another state. Looking forward to getting a fire going in the fireplace, making some mulled wine and cuddling on the couch with DH for our first white christmas.

1. Do you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, other holiday, or none? Christmas!
2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? I'm a totally old-fashioned Christmas kind of girl. I love decorating the tree, and as a child I loved waiting to walk into the living room on Christmas morning.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Nope! Although my local town has a holiday celebration on the town square on Black Friday night which involves free carriage rides, old-fashioned carolers, and free nibbles and hot cider... so I do go to that (although I'll miss it this year because I'll be in France). It's a nice antidote to the insanity of the mall!
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? We have a funky reindeer made out of branches, although he stays out all year (he makes a great place to hang reusable canvas bags to grab before going to the grocery store). But around Christmas time we take off all the bags and show him off.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? Obviously, the thing I most want is to be pregnant... but other than that, I would love an iphone. Or cute clothes (sweaters, boots, winter coat, scarves).
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? For once in my life I actually haven't started shopping yet! Since we're going to be in France at the end of November and beginning of December, we're planning on bringing back gifts from our travels. So shopping will be a bit more spontaneous.

Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? I love that we are able to spend time with both sides of the family - Christmas Eve with the IL's and Christmas day with my family. It works out that the "more important" day is different for either side so we can celebrate with both.

5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? I really don't have anything on my wish list, but I could always use clothes. DH is good for that!
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? We are hoping, instead of exchanging gifts, that my family is going to go into NYC and see a show, the tree and go to dinner. So that would be the "gift" I'm most excited about - my parents will love having us all there together!

6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? I'm doing a lot of homemade gifts this year. I made my grandparents fleece blankets and my grandma a calendar that has all the kids and grandkids birthdays on it, from pictures my H has taken. I also got my grandpa a St Louis Arch puzzle because he loves to put them together. After he puts it together, my dad is going to glue it together and get it framed for me so that we have something my grandpa did after he is no longer with us.
I also made my BIL, SIL and nephew fleece blankets. I'm working on a quilt for my dad. Need to think of something for my mom. And instead of a gifts, we are taking BFF's 5 year old snow tubing!

2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We have an old gag gift that gets passed around from year to year. It's always funny to see who ends up with it each year.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Absolutely not! I like to enjoy my Christmas shopping, not having to fight over gifts.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? Other then the tree (which I can look at for hours) I would say the garland that I put on the mantle along with the candles and stockings.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? An elliptical....since getting off BC, I've gained more weight then I'd like to admit and even though we both have gym memberships, we haven't been frequenting it very much.
6. What are you most excited to give this year, and to whom are you giving it? I honestly haven't thought much about gifts yet this year, but I did recently buy a personalized makeup bag for my MIL that I'm pretty excited about.

2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? My family opens one gift at a time so that everyone can see their reaction and what they got. I love it much more than DH's family everyone opens everything at once...it's over too quickly and I usually miss seeing if they like what I got them.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? I've only done it once (four years ago before I started working in retail). I hope to never do it again. I find good enough deals and usually what I buy isn't a Black Friday item.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? I don't have a wreath, instead I have a wooden sled with a penguin on it that my college roommate's mom got for me. It's a cute "greeting" into our home.
5. What do you want for a gift this year (other then a bfp)? Either a gift card to get a really good massage or a new phone, since we're trying to save money I didn't get a good one - just the freebie cheapie.

2. If you celebrate, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We go to church on Christmas Eve 10:00pm and then come home and put out the presents and then we sit in front the tree with the lights on and the rest of the house lights off. I love looking at the tree all lit up.
3. Do you shop on Black Friday? If so, what are you trying to get this year? Yes. I want to get a vacuum for sure - we really need a new one. This year I don't even know what I am getting DH or DD yet, mostly practical stuff - there are no big ticket items on anyone's list.
4. What is your favorite holiday decoration (other then a tree)? Christmas wise - I love my Nativity set. I also really love my German Christmas Nativity pyramid and I have a statue of Santa leaning over baby Jesus that I love.

Again, I feel like this is a boring Chritmas - DH needs absolutely nothing - I know I am getting him the Star Wars blue ray set, but I have no idea what else. DD needs stuff for her study abroad trip in January and she wants a new winter coat. I have no exciting big ticket items to give.
