That's all I'm doing this year.

I'm not working, trying to save cash and I've got the time so I just need ideas.

I'm definitely doing homemade photo albums for the grandparents but thats all I've got so far.

I want to try the placemat purse organizer. If it works for myself, I can see making a few of those for the women in my life. And hey, I'm sure I can find placemats at the dollar store.

Do you use Pinterest? Almost all of my homemade gift ideas have come from there. I'm making cookies and putting them in pull-top cans, little flip books of DD's firsts so far, a vase from rolled magazines, a wipe-off board calendar... I have found a ton of ideas.

Honestly, I'm resisting because if I find one more way to waste time online, I might never accomplish anything again.

I'm making some baked treats and candy for friends and neighbors, but I'm not sure I'll be super crafty and do handmade gifts. I am making some Christmas decor, though.

I resisted too, but I love it. And I don't think it is a huge time suck! Well, a moderate time suck. I cruise my followed people and pop over to everything for a page, but I only go there once a week or maybe twice, otherwise everyone is just pinning the same stuff anyways. I also actually venture out into the interwebz to find my own things to pin (unheard of!).

Token I think you'd actually really like it. A lot of the crafts are "why didn't I think of that!" ideas, or when you have a nugget of an idea but can't formulate it into a project. Like I always knew there was a great potential for pain chip strips but couldn't figure out cute ways to use them, now I found lots. If you did it, I would totally want to follow you. (But maybe that is a con...)

Since I started pinterest I've become way less productive, but my to do list has ballooned. I spend way too long drooling over desserts that I will never make.

To answer your question, I am making hooded towels for my girls and my nephew. I'm basing them off this site.

ETA: I'm also thinking of making some of these travel mug sleeves.
