My fianc? and son have one last name, and I have another. I was going to order return address labels for Christmas cards, and I am not sure what I should write. Should I put The Smith-Jones Family(not our real last names)? Jay, Suzanne, and Mason (without any last names)? Just our address without any names? Something else? Maybe I should just get married and fix this!! Also, where have you ordered labels from?
Re: Return address labels - 2 different last names
I got some really great deals on cards (birth announcements w/ photos) and address labels at Tiny Prints.
I'd probably just pick a last name - probably the one that your fiance and son share (assuming it'll someday be yours too, so you can keep using the extras down the line), and use that on the return address label. It can just say "Smith" as the name, it doesn't have to say "Jay, Suzanne, and Mason Smith." Then I'd make sure that you sign the Christmas cards with everyone's first names.
i vote get married
I got ours from Expressionery.com. I did the kind with cartoon faces and our first names below the faces and then just our address below that. No last name.
I think if you hit the "preview" button on this link you can see an example:

I didn't take DH's last name (MIL still talks about it...sigh), but I did give our son his last name, because I'm not a big fan of hyphenating. On our return address labels it says my first and last name and DH's first and last name. No one ever seems to notice...except MIL.
Also, on our xmas card, it's a pic of DS, and it just says "Happy Holidays, Love Andrea, Mike & Henry" - I avoid putting a last name on at all costs!
