I want 3. DH wants 2, but he has already admitted that once we have one, he will probably want more than 2. We would want them fairly close in age. Maybe 2-3 years apart.
TTC since August 2011 (Me-29, DH-32). 4/28/2012 - SA: 5% motility. 5/21/2012 - SA: same results. Only shot is IVF (ICSI) 5/31/2012 - HSG: all clear 6/22/2012 - appt with RE, confirmed ICSI is necessary. 8/3/2012 - First IVF Monitoring Appointment 8/17/2012 - Egg Retrieval (retrieved 23 eggs, 3 made it to freezer) 8/18/2012 - OHSS - hospitalized, need to wait one cycle to transfer embryo(s) due to OHSS 8/29/2012 - begin meds for frozen cycle 10/12/2012 - FET one embryo 10/24/2012 - Beta #1: 442 10/26/2012 - Beta #2: 947 10/29/2012 - Beta #3: 2900! 11/15/2012 - first u/s: baby measuring perfect, heart rate is right on target 2/6/2013 - A/S looked perfect. Still team green by choice! 7/6/2013 - Baby girl born after 44 hours of un-medicated labor, 2 hours of pushing, and emergency c-section due to transverse head. DD was perfectly healthy at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. We are thrilled!!
I want two. I would prefer twins, but one would be just as good. If I do have only one at a time, I would like them spaced out three or four years apart.
My husband wants 6. I truly don't care - whatever the Lord blesses us with - but we've been having IF/TTC issues. I have PCOS and we haven't been able to conceive. At this point I'd take one and be happy with that!
Hi, I've posted on here with questions a few times, but DH and I will start this next cycle actively TTC #2. So why not start by answering here.
We want around 10 children. Honestly though, we'll probably just keep having children until we need to stop/can't have any more. And we want them very close.
I've always wanted 3-4. Ideally 2 biological and the others adopted. It's just something that I've always dreamed about. DH wants 3 (2 bio and 1 adopted - apparently he always wanted that also).
However with IF in the picture we might be one and done (if we ever get the one), only adopt, or there is a possibility that we'll end up being child free. It's hard to come to that realization but it's possible.
We just had this discussion today. In a perfect world, money and time are no object, I would love to have three. But I would be perfectly happy with two. Hell, if we couldn't have another one, I would be perfectly happy with the wonderful little boy I have now, but I desperately want another baby.
We landed on 2 being the perfect number for us right now. Here's hoping that we get our number two in the near future.

My husband and I always joked about having 7 but have decided we will probably only have 4. I want the first set to be 2U2 and then when they are out of diapers have a second set 2U2. That is how my husband's sibings were born and he loved it. My bro and I were 2U2 and I always wished for more siblings.
We want at least 4 or 5, and after that--we'll see. To me that is not a big family; I have only one brother, so I came from a small family, but many of my friends growing up had three or four siblings, and "big" was 7-9 kids.
Don't know about spacing yet! I guess that's something we'll decide as we go along.
My husband is the youngest of ten and I was the youngest of only two. I always wanted a bigger family.I have one son from a previous relationship who is almost seven. We want atleast 4 or 5 more. We've been ttc for 8 months and are begining to get discouraged. It's still early though. And we've decided that we aren't blessed to conceive we want to adopt...
We've always wanted 4. After we had the first 2 I considered being done but then #3 came along and now we want her to have a sibling a little closer in age.

I'm really surprised to see so many for 3. I thought 1 or 2 would be the norm or maybe a range of numbers. Cool posting!
I think two but need to get to the one first
