Shoes

Recommend your favorites.  DD has some tennis shoes that blink, but the backs are starting to fold down when we put them on, so I need to find something else (or a shoe horn).  Tell me what kind of shoes you love that are easy to put on a 22 month old.

Re: Shoes

  • the only shoes i have a problem with are her canvas all stars because the backs fold down- like you said. every other shoe is fine so i guess just make sure they are leather? or with zippers. we have a couple pair of mary jane shoes (from Target, squeekers), a couple pair of boots with zippers down the side (makes it SUPER EASY to get on!).

  • I actually love his Converse OneStars just because they are canvas.  They're lightweight to wear and super easy for me to get on and off of him.  Not as stiff as other shoes.  So far, haven't had any issues with the backs folding down.

  • I found some Skechers at a consignment store.  In the place of laces, they have elastic that looks like old school ponytail holders (with the gold thread throughout) and a velcro flap.  DD can get them on and off without assistance, although sometimes she gets them on the wrong feet.
    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • I like Stride Rite and old school Keds (they are leather with a rubber toe).

  • Both of my kids were cursed with my high arches.  Stride Rite shoes, all of the way.
