Ours is not at all. At the moment it is still an office. An office with a bouncy chair in it and a closet full of baby clothes.
Our crib and change table will be available for pick up on the 18th.
We won't be decorating or painting the space but there's a lot to do before we can get the office stuff out of the room. We've been working on finishing the basement - once the drywall is in we'll get the desk and bookcases downstairs. Crunch time for sure!
Re: Is your baby's room ready?
We are DONE. Clothes are washed, in the dresser, blankets on the glider.....everything is just perfect. Bassinet's made, pack and play is up sheet's are on. All we need is the car seat installed and a few more things hung on the walls.
We are READY, just waitin on a baby.
Nope! Not a damn thing done yet LOL....
The room is completely empty except the gifts we recieved from our babyshower this past weekend! I have to order the crib (this week) and then start putting together and/or setting up all the baby gear (swing, pack n'play, highchair, etc...).... I haven't decorated anything or organized any baby clothes!
Sooooo behiiiind! But now that we actually have baby gear in the room, I'm starting to feel those nesting urges
Looking forward to putting it all together!
?Little Love of my Life?
Seeing your post makes me feel SO much better (even though I'm 38 weeks today*sob*). Carter has to share a room with his sister but she's going through a huge destroy everything phase so whatever he owns is in the trundle drawer that came with his crib inside the crib! We don't have a mattress yet (promised by a relative and silly us believed her), The PnP he was supposed to get so he could spend the first few months in our room fell through ( didn't find out until 10 mins ago) so now I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do for his sleeping arrangements.
Its so stressful because I can't really do anything with his stuff without some kind of plan of where he's sleeping and DH is so wishy washy right now that nothing ever gets done. I figured we'd move his crib into our room but he wants to wait..uhh we're kind of out of waiting time! I have had so much anxiety over this whole thing- I don't want to be scrambling the day I get home from the hospital to get his part of our room ready but thats probably exactly what will happen...
*I understand that the no brainer part would be run out and get his mattress but this relative was ADAMANT about buying it so instead of saving our giftcards up we used them to buy a digital camera so we could take pictures. I'll probably end up returning the camera and buying a mattress. And before I get flamed for "relying" on others for gifts-it was not my idea to lay me off in July from my job so things are VERY tight and I refuse to bust into our limited savings if I don't have too.
Yep! DH had to work all weekend, so my mom helped me finish it yesterday. All of the furniture is in, the bedding is on and the wall decorations are up. Just about all of LO's clothes have been laundered and are in his dresser.
We had previously purchased the 9 cube Cubical thing from Target. We have so much stuff that we ended up getting another one for the other side of his room. Luckily, we had the space to fit another one.
Now we just need a baby!
Nope! Slacker here!
We are moving DD into our spare bedroom and putting this baby into her room since basically everything is already there - crib, recliner, dresser, etc. But we need to slowly transition DD from her crib (she's already climbing out at home & daycare - she sleeps on a toddler bed at daycare now). I'm guessing this won't take place until AFTER the baby comes home. We have a bassinet and pack n play that we will use in our room for awhile anyway.
It's finally starting to come along...
DH just finished wiring the whole room last night. It's painted and that's about where it ends...
My mom is trying to fit time this week in her schedule to come buff the hardwood floors and we hope to put up the crib and other furniture this weekend or next week.
I still don't have a chair. I've ordered all the stuff to make a mobile but haven't gotten around to actually making it. I'm at a bit of a loss with wall art (and we have tons of wall space :S). I do have a rug! But we are light fixture less... And I'm LOST with curtains. Curtains for a little boy are tough!
I am glad we aren't alone.
It's awesome when people ask what our nursery theme/colours are. The baby gets the same colour as us -- and theme - at this point "storage chic?"
Not quite, I have almost everything I need for it though. We just need to do another deep cleaning of everyhing and wash bedding and pull the whole thing together. One of our spare bedrooms looks like BBB's stock room. I can't wait to get organized.
I also need drawer lines...preferrably organic options to start organizing clothing. So any info as to where I can get them is appreciated also:)
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
It's just about there, mostly meaning the important stuff is bought and in the room, although we still have to get a pad for the change table and wash all of the clothes/linens and put sheets on the bassinet, crib, etc. The wall decorations are done, but not hung yet, and I still have some sewing projects outstanding, I may try to finish them at my Mom's this weekend, but it is cushions for the window seat, so really not critical for baby coming home.
I am focusing on getting the "must haves" done, like getting the car seat inspected this weekend, and things like hanging decorations on the wall can always wait til later, she won't mind

*~ My Blog ~*
A mess in progress...
crib is in and built
book/toy shelf is in
changing table /dresser is in but still covered in #1's stickers along with little cabinet for diapers
some decor is up, some still laying around
all purchases and gifts still in bags in and around crib
still need to make mobile....
seems like it is always on "next weekends" list LOL
All decorated, clothes in dresser, all the supplies ready to go except for the new crib. DH is picking that up this wednesday and getting it ready. We have a bassinet for our room for the first few weeks anyway.
Ours was easy though..it was already a nursery for DS1. we just moved DS1 into his big boy room (that was the tough one, decorating and getting everything moved from guest bedroom to toddler room) and then the nursery was all set.
Nope not at all. My husband wont finish painting and the items from amazon.com Im still waiting on to come
