Re: sleep training? help please
We did some sleep training at 10 months. It was the same as you are describing, we were having to rock her to sleep, then she would instantly wake up when we put her down, then wake up in the night. So, we did CIO started with 5 minutes, go in lie her back down say mommy loves you and i'm here but it is time to sleep. Then 10 minutes, then 15. We did the same thing every time, including if she woke up in the night. The first night it took 30 minutes, the second night less than 10 I think. From then on she has been a perfect sleeper. I put her to bed wide awake, she smiles, and goes to sleep. Changed our life!
Yep it sucks to hear them cry but I honestly think of it as teaching them a really important skill. Sleep is good for everyone involved.
Good luck!

You gotta read Ferber book! You can download it I am sure from amazon ect. It explaines it step by step.. But yes its gradual 3, 5, 10, intervals going in not picking up, giving paci if necessary, and leaving. It's hard/if you can't do it( I didnt at first) have dh help out and be the bad guy! But read the book don't do it w out reading understanding what you are doing!!
Hope that helps! Sleep problems are the worst..
Ditto, we didn't do sleep training until we were completely prepared because you can't give in or the crying is for nothing. We just did sleep training and in 3 days I went from having a baby that had to be rocked until he was completely asleep and then be transferred and who slept 3 hours stretches to a kid that goes down with little crying (between none and 7-10 min) and sleeps 12-13 hour stretches. So worth it IMO. Good luck!
After two losses, third time was a charm.
pm me for blog link
ok so he just vomitted....don't know if it was from being worked up or a legit belly ache.....he did get sick earlier tonight but thought that it was just from drinking apple juice real quick and then being very active
