Clearance Halloween costumes make perfect dress up clothes...

We went to KMart and got 11 costumes in all different sizes to go in a dress up chest for DD.  Other than making sure that they're bigger than she is right now I didn't pay attention to sizes, and she even got a few that were adult sizes (b/c as we know most of the women's costumes end up being tight anyways, so they will fit nicely on a child's body! lol).

I got 90% off all of the costumes.  Of course the selection was all pretty picked over but paying $1-$4 per costume it was a steal!  Plus we got some more fairy wings for her ($.79), wigs ($.79-$.99), and Halloween decorations for next year ($.19+) I'm really excited about the purchase!

So now DD has a cool little collection of dress up clothes that I paid hardly anything for!  And they'll fit her for many years to come!  So if you can find some deals in your area I highly suggest you pick some up for your LO for future dress up playing! 

DH actually seemed kind of excited about some of the adult sized costumes I'd picked up and got a very suspicious look on his face and told me I should model some for him... Lol.  For a not very adventurous kinda guy it made me lol :)

    Wow. That is a great idea! Wish I had thought of that. I wonder if any places around here are still selling anything.

    I had thought of doing that but never got out to go shopping after Halloween. I bet she will love it! I might wait and do that next year since she will be older and might enjoy it more then.

    That's a great idea! I picked up a Halloween costume for LO next year, but didn't think past that. Nice work!
