I don't know why some people on this board have to be so rude. This is a ttc message board. Not everyone has been ttc for a long time and might see an bulletin point that they would like to research more. I didn't know that there can be a problem with vitamin A, so now I'm going to look it up, thank you. I also didn't know anything about how to get pregnant before I started looking it up, I had no idea about ovulation or anything.

I take issue with someone coming on here and posting "advice" that isn't true. You didn't know you have to stop birth control? You didn't know taking drugs wasn't a good thing?
ETA: You didn't know about ovulation and dropping an egg? I'm pretty sure my 4th graders learn about that when they watch a video about getting their periods.
Agreed. Also that's why there is a newbie link. Very helpful info, everyone should read it before posting.
Maybe there should be a test so we know if you had actually read it...hmmm...

Wow, I'm actually embarrassed for you. And for the entire education system/every biology & health ed teacher you've ever had.

No, I have no memory of learning about that in school, and I know it seems ignorant of me to not know my body, but I really didn't and I don't feel I had a reason to know that until now. I knew that the egg needed to get fertilized, but I didn't know the egg was only there for just a short period of time.
Also, yes it should be common sense that you need to stop birth control and not take drugs if you are trying to get pregnant, but I still don't think that it is necessary for people to try to make one feel stupid for posting something about prenatal care on a ttc forum just because they don't find the information useful, especially with these comments, why not rather reply with something useful.

I'll try saying this again. A good chunk of the "advice" posted IS NOT TRUE!!! Call me a jerk (oh wait you already did), but I don't tend to let misinformation go without correcting it. You can continue to drink coffe, tea, soda, drink alcohol. A "pre-conception" appt isn't necessary either Plus, the info was copied and pasted from another website.

A lot I have felt my vagine, especially when I make happy times with myself.
