Hi y'all!
Haven't been around much- but I am in the midst of a pantry moth situation in our house and I need to invest in storage containers for all of our flour, beans, cereal, rice, etc. I have a few random canisters here and there that I bought at Tuesday Morning and I think the C&B outlet, but I need to buy a bunch more.
What do you all use to store your bulk dry goods in your pantries?
TIA!
Re: Pantry storage containers- suggestions needed!
Hi, daisy!
I have some glass canisters I picked up pretty cheaply at Hobby Lobby.
Those damn pantry moths! I hate them!
I just finished fighting them off myself...
I save all my glass jars instead of recycling them, and I keep my bags of pasta, rice, and other grains sorted inside a ziplock bag in the pantry. I also try to buy really small amounts of things at a time.I use empty yogurt containers a lot, too, but not all of them are moth-proof.
Good luck!
Yuck. And those things can get into ziplocs and any containers that aren't air-tight.
I recently got some big Le Parfait glass jars--they hold a lot and look all french and pretty. They were in the clearance area of The Container Store for less than half price just because they were missing the rubber gaskets. I snatched them up, ordered some gaskets on Amazon, and voila! I want more.
Put some lavender sachets in your cupboard!
We make an Ikea trip and I bought a bunch of the glass jars w/ the attached hinged lids and silicone seals.
ughh, it's such a chore to clean the whole pantry out. I already did one half/side that is closed off from the other and the pest guy sprayed it and then I washed it out (AGAIN) and now I am working on the other side, as the pest guy is coming back on Tuesday. also something in my fridge stinks- so my kitchen looks like a bomb went off!
