Trying to get your mind off test results.  You said you're a writer, what do you like to write?

Re: thatgrrrl

  • Fiction. I was actually going to do NaNoWriMo this year but that idea got quashed with everything going on.

Right now I'm working on a series of loosely interwoven short stories. I'm actually using the intros to Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio show as the start/inspiration for each story.

That is awesome, I would love to read it!

  • As soon as I get more than 120 words, you're welcome to read it :)

  • I like that idea.  I write fiction too, mostly historical fiction.   I haven't done much since Ben was born, though.  I had an ambitious week when Ben was STTN, then he stopped sleeping again.  I actually wrote most when I had a writing partner from Writer's Digest.com.  We exchanged chapter every week to critique.  Maybe when I wean Ben I'll join a local writing group.  I wish I would do more, I'm so much happier when I'm writing.  Sorry this is so disjointed, I'm bumping and folding laundry.

  • I admit that I did my best work when I was in school and had deadlines and stuff. I do write better with a partner. My BFF and I met in a writing class but she moved to TN. We used to sit together and pound away at our keyboards. I totally miss that.
