F/U to I love having a fireplace ... I hate having a fireplace.

Ok, not really, but dh fell asleep and has wandered up to bed.  The the fire is just a burnin.  Guess I'll go poke the shit out of it and try to get it to die down.  I just can't go to bed with an open flame in the house.

    This is why I love my gas fireplace! Just flip a switch and it turns off! Smile

    We use our fireplace for three things (woodburning btw) 1. Christmas Eve, 2. Christmas morning, and 3. when our electric is out.  Plus, we always use the fake logs so they last for like 3 hours (just enough time to burn down and out before we go to bed).
