Ok, so let's say you have plenty of good food, shelter, fuel, etc. Don't use this book for anything other than reading entertainment/spiritual guidance/whathaveyou. Use it as it was intended, I mean. ![]()
The book you're going to read for the rest of your life.
Even though I don't consider myself super religious, I'd say the bible. There's a lot of text and a lot of ways to interpret it. I think it would keep me busy while keeping me sane.
Other than that, probably The Good Earth. I've read it so many times. There's just something about it that I love.
Ok, then I guess: 2 books. You get 2.
Re: IHOSM: What is your "desert island" book?
You can have a series, I guess. I have that same Hitchhiker's book! Boy, the Harry Potter series would make one thick big book all bound together. That print would have to be small. They'll probably do it some day. On that paper that's super thin, too.
I guess this is moot since now you can have like 10,000 books on an eReader.
Of course, it would have to survive the trip in. But then, so did your book that's made of paper...
