About how long do they "typically" stay in this size? Evan is just fitting into 2T stuff and I wondered if he would be that size next summer as well?? I know it is hard to say, but just wondering...

My ds will be 3 in March and still fits into some 2 t stuff ,depends on the brand,he is 32.5 lbs.

I have no idea....R is wearing 3T shirts and 2T pants. The shirts just fit (mostly Carters and ON/Gap)....I bought 3T for next summer and I am afraid they won't fit! Luckily short sleeve is a little more forgiving that long sleeve, just as long as his belly isn't exposed. I think I am safe with the 2T shorts I got since so many have adjustable waist.

Forever. Haha! Justin was such a big tall baby he was wearing a 2t outfit at his 1st birthday (he was like 25lbs then now he's a whopping 31, 2 years later). Just a few weeks ago he hit a spurt that shot him into 3t

My DS is huge for his age-people generally think he is three or four. He is wearing 3t. He was wearing 2t by 18 months (he has always been off the charts height wise). However, he stayed in 2t for over a year as he grew taller but thinned out. So basically what I'm trying to say is...you never know when they will hit a growth spurt or when they will stay put for a while. I always try to buy ahead for the next season/year, but it is hard to do at this age.

Ian's butt and waist are so small that we were able to get some use out of the shorts and shirts at the beginning of the summer. Once he hit his growth spurt, they just got too short.

M can still wear some 18m tops. seriously.

i have a stack of 24m shorts will slide off his hips and hit the floor.

we have tons of 2T and he'll be in them till he's in the 1st grade.

Ditto! DD can still wear some 18mo tops/pants and even some 12mo shorts! She's just so skinny that things dont stay up on her. Pants are horrible b/c she needs bigger sizes for the length, but then the waist is so big they fall off-even the elastic ones! She turned 2 in june and is wearing a mix of 18m, 24m,and 2T right now.

Same here! It's a PITA because I just want to pack up her 18m clothes, but I can't because some of them still fit!

Evan has been wearing 2T since last winter. Almost all his jeans from last year still fit him, a few tops/sweaters and his winter coat. I bought all his new fall clothes in 2T mostly. A few 3T tops, and those are pretty big on him.

Good grief, my kid must be a giant! When I say 3T just fits, I mean the bottom of the sleeve is at his wrist. I would have loved it if his winter coat from last year would fit! Even his footed pjs are a 3T....but he does have room in them thank goodness!

24 mos Carter onesies still fit, and so does the 24 mos Halo bodysuits.....I am glad about this since I hate bare tummies in winter! I am sticking with onesies until he uses the potty!

Ethan fits in 2t since last spring. I think his jammies are too tight so I might have to go up to 3t on those. Thank goodness he wears cloth diapers b/c that is what holds his pants up. Some jeans don't fit at all he walks 4 steps and the waist is down around his knees. He has a couple 3t tops that sort of fit. he still fits in the 18-24 month winter coat from last year.

Eve was not in 2t quite as long as I would have thought/hoped.. She has just about outgrown it all in length now.. She started wearing 2t around January, I'd guess. I know she still was wearing some 18 month stuff at christmas.. so she was in all 2t stuff for spring and summer, and I got 3t for fall. I figured we'd get a full year out of it, but it didn't happen..

I am hoping Eve is still 3t next summer because we bought her a buttload of it on clearance.
