Selling baby stuff...what would you price this at?

So I decided I'd like to sell some of our stuff on Craig's List.  I would imagine a ton of people are probably selling baby stuff on there but I suppose it's worth a try. We're going to try to sell everything as a grouping but I'm not sure how much to sell it for.  Maybe you guys can help me out?  Even though everything is about 3 1/2 years old it's all in really good condition.  We have a swing, two bouncy seats, an exersaucer and a Chicco Keyfit infant seat with two bases.  Whatcha think?  TIA!

  • Do a search on craigs to see what other people are listing those items for.

Also clean them really well, and then in your description, put in all the applicable descriptions - no stains, the cover is freshly washed, non-smoking household, etc.  Baby wipes actually seem to work pretty well for cleaning up stuff!

  • I suggest you list them as a group price and then also breakdown what you want for each. When I was looking for stuff I didn't tend to go for the groupings, but if they would separate things, then I'd be interested. Obvi the Seat with bases would go together...but the other stuff, some ppl just need one bouncy seat, like for a sitter's house or a grandparent.

Pricing...swing, if it only uses batteries, no more than $50. Bouncy seat $10-$15 depending on condition, maybe a little more. Exersaucer, $25...Seat and bases, I assume a carseat? Most ppl are wary about buying used carseats. So ask for an offer, and list purchase price for comparison? Or pick a price and say you'll include a 2nd base for "free"! :) I'm going off what I would consider paying for used stuff...in really good condition! GL

  • I would try to sell the car seat separately, people don't usually want a used carseat if it is their first because it will expire before baby#2.  Also, be sure to list the expiration date.  The swing totally depends on what kind of swing, a regular forward and back swing, about $10.  Bouncy seats really no more then $10 either, probably more like $5-$8 each.  Exersaucer, $10-15 if it is a nice one.  Not sure on the carseat, depends on the expiration date.

  • Oh wow.  I'm glad I asked.  I probably would have asked for more.  I did check Craig's List and what you guys are saying seems the norm.  I sort of wish I could just give it to someone I know but don't know anyone having a baby that needs it.  My dh said he would still like to try to sell it on Craig's List so I guess we'll see.....thanks for the advice!

  • I would probably take these items to a consignment shop if they are in really good condition.

My sister suggested this too.  I will probably look into this as well.
