A mouse and a WTF/FML

DD tells me this morning she saw a mouse in the play room. Sure enough, I go downstairs and I see it run under the couch. Operation Find that Motherfvcker is still is full effect, complete with sticky traps. I feel terrible about them but I have little ones and can't have mice all over the damn place.

I just went on a hunt to find Tylanol Cold and Flu. I couldn't find it anywhere so I ask the pharmacist. He tells me it was pulled and is either going to be reformulated or discontinued. This is one of the only meds on my ok'd list. WTF. The other is Robitussin but it's not specific and there are about a thousand varieties of it so I'm not sure which is safe. So now I have to wait until Monday to ask my OB but I'm sure I'll be feing better by then. FML.

  • The pharmacist should know what's safe to take.

This. Tylenol pulled their cold/flu line almost 2 years ago. Tell them which symptoms you want to treat and they should recommend items for you that are safe in pregnancy.

  • If it helps at all, sudafed (the stuff behind the counter) was on my safe list. And tylenol of course. Good luck :(

  • Benedryl for the nose or sudafed.  Anytime I've asked pharmacists what is safe they tell me to ask my doctor, so good luck with that.  Does CVS have a generic version or Tylenol cold?  That might be a way to go as well.

  • I'm 90% sure it's Robitussin DM that you can take, your pharmacist should be able to tell you for sure.  And regular Sudafed.  Shoot, when I had a really bad head cold at 7 months pregnant, I took both, drank as much water as humanly possible and slept upright in the recliner.  It sucked, but I got over the cold in two days..

The pharmacist told me the same thing, call my dr. CVS did have a generic but the kid behind the counter didn't know if the ingredient list was exactly the same so I didn't want to chance it.

  • any generic has the exact active ingredients by law.
