How long did it take you to get pregnant?

in 1st Trimester

Just polling so that I get an idea of what to expect and not to panic when my BFP is not happening as soon I would like it to.

    It took DH and me 8 months, 7 cycles.

    It can take a healthy couple up to a year to concieve.

    1st BFP- March 2011. Natural MC @ 8 weeks
    2nd BFP- July 2011.  Chemical Pregnancy
    3rd BFP- Sep 2011. My beautiful son was born May 2012.
    4th BFP-August 2014- Due May 12, 2015

    Technically I got pregnant on my 10th cycle, but it ended with miscarriage and it took another 10-11 cycles after we started trying again. 

    It can take a normal, healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant.

    It took 4 cycles with DS and this one happened on the first try.  You should have specified that only people who were actively TTC should vote, since the people who weren't will probably choose 'first try'.

    Took us about 9 months, maaaybe 5-6 cycles. I was pretty irregular so it took a while to figure out what was going on and how to get it straight!

    Blessed with our beautiful girl May 30/2012 - BFP June 20th/2013 - Naturally MC June 30th/13.

    Can't really fit myself in those categories, because we were trying for 9 months, but only had about 5 cylces the whole time....  But every person is different, and every infertility is different.
    Me: 30 DH:33 DX PCOS TTC #1 since 1/11. Metformin 1000mg before BFP, 2 rounds of Provera and 1 round of Clomid. BFP 10/12! Ethan James born 5/11/12 at 34 weeks...after 4 weeks in the NICU he finally came home!!

    I went off birth control 1st of August then didn't try to get pregnant until September. The last week of September found out I was pg!! We were surprised we got pregnant so quick!

    With DD: started ttc in Dec 2007 got pg in Aug 2008. This pg: started in July 2011 got pg in August 2011

    Roughly 4 years of actively trying, and another 8 before that of pulling&praying.  I clearly knew that pregnancy was a possibility and was comfortable with that. 

    It was a long arduous road - one I never imagined being on, particularly without a definitive diagnosis.  I am incredibly grateful that with the help of RE, we were finally able to get pregnant but it definitely changed me.  I am very envious of people who remain blissfully ignorant of how that whole "process" works.

    Last cycle was last week of August.  Quit bc Sept 1.  Next period never came.

    Well...I was with my Ex for 4 years and we never got pregnant (he was a heavy weed smoker and drinker)...I been with my man now for 5 months and we got pregnant 4 months in. I've known him for 14 years...so I'm so happy it's him. :)

    With my first we got pregnant the first cycle, no charting.  This time it was the third cycle, first month charting.  Good luck and I hope you get your bfp soon!

    First cycle trying, sixth cycle of charting. Used OPKs in addition to BBT to detect ovulation.

    I went off BC the end of July and began taking prenatal vitamins. I had my last period in September. One tip my sister-in-law gave me that I think helped make it happen was that I would feel cramping when ovulating about a week or so after my period. The day(s) I felt it I made sure we had sex then surprise I was pregnant!

    I got pregnant with DD after ONE shot, first month off BC. This time we're on month #2 and hoping for a BFP by next weekend. Fingers crossed!

    Our 1st pregnancy took us 12cycles :(  With this pregnancy we got pregnant on the 2nd cycle!! I was in shock! I was ready for months and month of trying. Good Luck! Don't freak out if it takes longer then you thought :).

    With my first son, now 2 years old, I went of the BC Pill in September and got preggie in December. With this Baby, I have actually been off BC for a full year, Hubby and I were "careful" with sex, actively tried for 4 months. Now we are almost 7 weeks along :) Good luck to you!!
